erose22 Posted August 30, 2007 Report Share Posted August 30, 2007 Memphis, Jackson, and all of West Tennessee Memphis Central defeated Whitehaven Tuesday 3-0 but fell to Cordova 3-2. The Lady Warriors came back from being down 0-2 to force a fifth game against the Lady Wolves before losing 15-13. Yesterday, a 3-1 win at Overton brought Memphis Central to a 4-2 record overall. Highlights include Deidra Nelson and Candace Stevenson combining for 19 kills. Setter Tia Glasper recorded 14 assists and Elisa Boyd recorded 7 assists and 7 aces. erose22 Posted August 31, 2007 Report Share Posted August 31, 2007 Central capped off their five game week yesterday with a forfeit win over Kingsbury, bringing the team to 4-0 in District 16-AAA and 5-2 overall. Tuesday the Lady Warriors defeated both Melrose and SBEC, bringing their current record to 8-2 (6-0 16AAA) before heading into the Bolton Invitational this weekend. They knocked off St. George's 3-0 on Monday to extend their win streak to 13 games and move to 21-3 on the season. erose22 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Share Posted September 25, 2007 Central High improved to 10-0 in District 16-AAA with a 3-0 win over Whitehaven yesterday. Bolton also fell to the Lady Warriors 3-2 in a match that lasted nearly 2 hours. Notably, the Lady Warriors were down 20-5 in the fourth game, but came back to win 25-22 to force a fifth game, eventually winning 15-13. Central is now 14-9 overall, but 10-0 in their district.
