The hot pick is the game that I go with that there is a good chance of an upset, not everyone or even close to everyone is going to with it, but it sure makes them look/feel good whenever they get it right.

Whatever floats your boat, although on paper, Oakland has to be the underdog given the past few years.

-They are 2-0

-Great defense against Riverdale

-A comfortable win against Coffee County

-at HOME

-hype and hungry for revenge

Well if there is anything I learned from last year it was to never get excited if Oakland comes out of the gates hot, so this shall apply this year as well. I have been impressed by LaVergne up to this point, although I hope my boys pull it out, I think a win by LaVergne makes them a legit threat to win the region. In this region, homefield advantage really doesnt mean too much, and obviously it didnt in this game last year either.

Why do you sound so suprised? Oakland has a very talented squad this year. Best believe we will not take them lightly AT ALL. As a matter of fact, we feel like the underdogs going into this one.

We are 1-1 and you are 2-0.......so who is the underdog? Check the picks above and take out all the OHS folk and you will quickly see who the underdog is. I understand it too. Yall have been in the playoffs the last 2 yrs and we haven't. We blew a lead last yr to yall and lost. We are the ones who have to prove ourselves, not yall.

Did Riverdale forfeit the win over us? Cause that is the only way we are 2-0.I mean yall cruised to victory last week and gave your starters a nice lil rest in the 2nd half.

why do folks keep saying that?

 

every knowledgeable person I know thinks lebanon is a region chamionship contender and I don't know anybody that doesn't believe they are very good

 

 

I can tell you smyrna is preparring for this game as if it is the last game of the year for the region chamionship

 

All they have heard is how good lebanon is and they are coming for you

I had a hard time picking games for you guys to pick this week, I dont like to branch out too far from Middle Tennessee, but I like to from time to time to make it a little bit more unpredictable. Nonetheless, here are the games for Week 2:

      Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.

      Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
