REGION 6-3A

The loss to McNairy was a big blow to Lexington. Turnovers are part of the game, and with 3 tunrovers as well as a misinformed kicker, Lexington pretty much handed that game over to the Bobcats. McNairy is good, and teams in this region will be surprised when they play them. But, that loss will not prevent Lexington being a force in this region. The Tigers have made changes to help prevent the fumbles, and they also have changed kickers so that the opposing team no longer starts on the Lexington side of the field. I look for week 10 to be the same as its always been. Southside vs. Lexington for the region crown.

Montague1, I don't think Lexington gave McNairy the game. McNairy had 7 fumbles and lost 3 of them. They fumbled inside the Lexington 2 and fumbled a punt the returner should have not of been trying to catch on their own 4. Then, Lexington punched it on the next play. This game could have been worse than 21-14. Both teams played pretty sloppy in this one. Good Luck to you guys.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
