SeeMorePop
I have not been able to make it to a game yet this season, but I have been paying attention to everyone that has. Seymour has a GREAT group of athletes this year and the coaches seem to have them motivated. The Seymour/Rutledge game has some history to it though. It has been one of those games that sneaked up and bit very good Seymour teams before. I don't see that happening this Friday. Rutledge will be bringing their usual game Smash Mouth Football, I've never seen anthing less from them. If Seymour can handle that, and I think they can, they should come out on top. Both teams have a lot of heart. GO EAGLES!!!!!! Seymour 28 Rutledge
sportsnut624
Seymour beat S-D and S-D beat carter.so lets see. i pick seymour over carter by a touchdown or more. this isnt carters year.it depends on how fired up seymour is is to how bad they beat carter. The Seymour-Carter rivalry is probably the fourth biggest in Knoxville (behind Farragut-Bearden, AE-Fulton, and Webb-Catholic) While Carter is down and Seymour is up, I believe that the game is going to be a close close game. Week six is the week that all Region 1-3a fans will not miss and I look forward to the atmosphere. But back to Rutledge, I believe that Seymour will handle the Pioneers fairly easily. By a two to three touchdowns. I dont believe Rutledge can compete with Seymour's athleticism. Good luck to both teams

I have said that Seymour is real good this year, but keep in mind that the teams they have beaten are a combined 2-7...not the best of opponent records. I think that Seymour will win, but it will be much closer than a 58 point blowout.

eaglefan07
i dont think it will be a walkover. it will be a very physical game. rutledge has a good looking o-line. there offense moves the ball very well. but i think seymours speed will hurt rutledge. good luck to both teams.hope no 1 is injured. it will a great game to watch. seymour by 2 (hard worked for) touchdowns. GO EAGLES!!!!!
KevB1990
Congrats to the Eagle fans...I hate that the Pioneers couldn't score late to avoid the shutout, but limiting the damage to 4 FGs and only 2 TDs is better than getting thoroughly sliced and diced I guess... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
EaglesHog
well Seymour moves to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in region games. While the score was 26-0, it could have been uglier if the Eagles could have finished a couple drives in the red zone instead of kicking field goals. Seymours offensive and defensive lines looked dominant throughout the game against a tough Rutledge line. Good game both ways though. Look for both teams to big factors in the region this year.
