Unless the Walker Co. GA sheriff steps up and demands justice, this will quietly go away. I don't expect the Ooltewah High administration or the Hamilton Co. "cover-up" school system to do anything. And the Ridgeland principal is an old buddy of the Ooltewah principal, so deals are probably being made to limit the publicity and the damage.

 

Meanwhile some innocent kids are pretty roughed up.

I disagree with your evaluation. The principal and administration at Ooltewah High School have good morals and values! The right thing will be done IF the facts are there to prove wrong doing. Lets all remember, what we the "john Q Public" know is all "word of mouth" The actual newspaper or tv has not acknowledged any particular people involved. I know that we had students at the game and some players. However, as I said in a different post, some of those listed by another poster really surprised me. It may be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I would bet my life that those involved "physically" will be punsihed. If that is the case, the football team will take our remaining players and be the best we can be. Life will go on without some players, regardless of their contribution to the team. The real question for the football team would be if they could "Step up" and get the job done........for themselves and for the pride of the school. They might just surprise some people. This team has alot of heart, and we've all seen teams in college, high school, even the NFL have winning seasons with little talent. I beleive Ooltewah will be okay though all of this. They might not win against William Blount (they are really good), but don't count them out just yet. In EVERY communtiy, the good people outweigh the few "bad seeds", and that will be the case here. 1 or 2 players max, will be out. It's not as bad as what you have heard (more students than players). Good luck to all teams, and please, try not to judge to harshly unless you know the information is accurate. Don't condemn Ooltewah and its good people and system.
