Anyone's thoughts on a combined all tournament team regardless of school classification? If you could pick 12 players for your "Fantasy Tennessee High School Team" who would they be by position? Who would your tournament MVP be?

Yes there should be an all tournament team for softball in all classifications.....If not individual teams then the MVP for the state tournament is Sara Meek from Brentwood Academy....5-1 for the tournament 65K's a new state tournament record...2 earned runs in 44 innings..0.32....Beat Ryan twice back to back to win the title for the Eagles...Also hit over 500 during the tournament.......

I think Sara might well be the best player in the state. I say that, of course, not having seen them all, but it is hard to imagine anyone who does a better job against the level of competition she has faced both on the mound and at the plate. If you let me choose any high school player in the state to start a team with tomorrow, I'd choose Sara. I think she'll do well at UT-C, which in my opinon is the best college program in the state.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
