bad decision made in a vacuum......seems alot of other AD's and coaches made the right decision......what about the fans???

its football....sometimes you have to play when the weather is not perfect....again BA thinks only of it''s own school...what about the fans....what about friday night excitement....this is ridiculous

one last thing on softball...no medals for the winners....in cross country the whole winning team gets a medal at the awards ceremony....in track they give medals to the top 8 finishers......nothing for winning state....too cheap????

Baseball has it's finals at Autozone park the best minor league park in America...softball at Greenbrook?????? At least in Chattanooga you had the CHANCE to play in the field of dreams if you were good enough.........

why do BGA and Father Ryan finish the game from Friday...seems to me the rule is if 5 and one half are played it is a game????? Must be a Phil Davidson rule to keep playing???

For all you Coacht readers you should know that your very own WesVols spoke at the Brentwood Academy graduation on behalf of the senior class. Each year two senoirs are picked by the class to speak and WesVols was chosen......As they say in the sports world.."he knocked it out of the park"...."he went downtown"..."he stole the show" "he swung for the fences and connected" etc etc.......All Coacht readers can be proud of one of their own...

Thanks WesVols...it was a great season...many thought BA would not be able to defend their title but they were the ONLY state champ from 2002 to return to state and defend their title.. Look forward to your graduation speech

She had 18 or 19 today vs Lenior City in a 1-0 win for Lipscomb

BA lost to Baylor 2-0....Baylor scored in the first and 5th innings.....BA had a girl thrown out at the plate in the 4th on a great throw from the Baylor right fielder.....Jessica Hesson had two hits for BA and Chrissa Cantrell also had a hit...not sure of the others.....Mashburn pitched well again.....BA plays Briarcrest at 10:00am......St. Benedict and GPS play in the other losers bracket game with the winners playing at 5.......Father ryan and Baylor play at 7 in the winners bracket final......

BA beats St. Benedict is the opening game of their defense of the Div. II state title.....Great pitcing performance by Shelby Masburn with great defense and timely hitting behind her.....BA plays Baylor at 2:00 on Wed.

My money for hotel, gas, food, etc is going to Miss. instead of Memphis.....shouldn't the Memphis Chamber of Commerce wonder about that......enough has been said already about the Tennessee state championship being played in Miss. The TSSAA is greedy and as said before does not really care about the kids, parents or teams. Time for a change in Management at TSSAA

The West is lead by St. Benedict....no question theyare the best in the west......Briarcrest is #2 and ECS#3.....Benedict will be tough on their home turf......good pitching, solid defense, with timely hitting......hitting may be there only weak spot....a good young team..

How about the 3 seniors for Brentwood Academy...this is the 4th year in a row they have been to state!!! 2nd, 5th, and 1st..who knows what will happen this year.....

Great game today.....Harrison pitched well...she should be the region MVP but for some reason did not even make the all region team...go figure!!! Shelby Mashburn was great...she had a pulled hamstring muscle but still pitched 9 tough innings....she really showed some guts........... Both teams will have to play great next week at state to challenge GPS, Baylor and St. Benedict......Let''s try and bring the state title back to Middle Tennessee....
