The SVC Championship is this week between South Pittsburg and Bledsoe Co at Bledsoe. South Pittsburg is 8-0 and the South Division and defending SVC Champions while Bledsoe is 6-1 and the North Division Champions. Two weeks ago in a regular season game at Bledsoe, South Pittsburg defeated Bledsoe 22-0. Last week Bledsoe had an off week during Fall break while South Pittsburg played and defeated Rhea Central 38-6. Is having an off week an advantage or disadvantage? Can Bledsoe cut down on mistakes and overcome SP's defense? South Pittsburg has been to the SVC Championship game 4 years in a row but Bledsoe has home field advantage....who wins the 2007 SVC Championship???

I'm sure they are very fired up..... I'm also sure bledsoerulz has probably got something up his sleeve....

Yea we did team D for 2 hours yesterday just trying to think ahead. Unless he comes out in a single wing or a 4 wide spread I think we covered it all /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> The great thing about it being the last game is that we can finally empty our pockets too /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

You coming to the game?

Just got home. It was an exciting game 16-16 at the half, South Pittsburg 40 - Bledsoe 16 final

Yeah it was an exciting game for the 1st half.... I didn't much agree with SP's coach throwin it deep when they were up by 16 with about 3 minutes left in the game but oh well...... Did you happen to go to the pikeville mcdonalds?

As far as the pass we were just trying to get a couple more first downs and just run the clock out. We were calling base plays up the middle but the Bledsoe coaches were blitzing everybody and calling time outs to try to stop us and get the ball back. With just a 2 TD lead and the Championship on the line there was no way we were going to take any chances. With an explosive team like Bledsoe that has a couple of stud running backs and a QB that can throw the ball 30 yards 3+ minutes is enough time to score twice. We had to get a first down and with all the blitzing a pass was the only smart call. It was supposed to be a 10 yard pass but the QB held it longer than he should have. We were lucky to get the pass off without taking a sack.

Yea we went to Pikeville McDs. Several of the Bledsoe kids, including # 31 were there. The kids all had a good time talking about the game. Bledsoe's kids were real class acts after the game. They came up and congratulated our kids and coaches and this was after the shake line. The Bledsoe parents and coaches should be real proud of them.
