dayummm instead of a 'group of young lads'(as thelivinglegend would say) South Pitt looks like a group of machines! But to get there the team that comes out of region 5/6 is probably going to have to get through Butchies McKenzie, as they are no slouch in thier own right!

I wanted to get on here and complement Jo Byrns on a great game plan and perfect execution. We had no answers and made didn't make the adjustments needed. Carkuff played his tail off and but nobody was coming to the ball to help him out. Blitz after blitz after blitz... Keep your head up Jacob, you showed a lot of heart out there. I'm not sure what was going on with our cleats, but the whole team looked like we were playing on a skating rink out there.

We have to go back to the practice field and study the film and fix these problems. WHH isn't going to be an easy opponent and I stood over there with Professor54 and his buddies and they are ready for this game. I have absolutely no doubt that the talent is on this team. I have no doubt that the heart was there. I still don't think you can beat JB by giving Spann that much time. I wished we had blitzed more in the second half, but obviously it's easy to second guess things after the fact.

 

Keep your head up boys! This is the same team that started the season 8-0. You can go two directions here. You can learn from this remember the burn from getting your tail kicked and improve during practice or you can phone in these last two games and enjoy the off season. The choice is yours!

Well congrats to Jo Byrns. They came out and showed they wanted it more. Cascade beat themselves, they drove the ball on them all night and then when they got in or near the red zone they fell apart. The game was closer then the score showed but Jo Byrns was def the more physical team 2night and took it to us. They have a great team and had a lot of class.

congrats on a big win jbs. cascade you don't have a thing to be ashamed of it was one heck of a game.mac daddy congrats to yall too on the playoff berth. we will be waiting at the dungeon for u next week.

My hat is off to the Jo Byrns players and coaching staff. They had a great game plan and executed it very well. Cascade had their worst game by far but this is certainly not the definiton of this team. The players need to keep their heads up because there is still alot of football to be played. I will say this though the coaches are going to have to go back to the drawing board and figure some things out very fast. Alot of the mistakes that were made on defense are fixable. Most of it is little things as in proper technique. When the ball is thrown in the air you have to turn around and play the ball not the reciever. The very few times that we pinned our ears back and blitz we were able to get to Spann a little bit making him not throw good passes. Other than those few times, when any QB especially a QB as good as Shane has 5-7 seconds to throw the ball he is going to have a field day with any defense. I am still very proud of all the players for never quitting. Go back to work on Monday and fix the problems. Lets go on another long winning streak from here.

The offense continues to click. according to jbs stats we had over 400 yards total offense. Cascade had nearly 300 yards of total offense, but I thought Coach Earhardt called a good defensive game. He played some cover 2, he blitzed some. We aren't a dominating defense, but we got the job done.

Shane Spann stepped up as a leader tonight, the offensive line did a good job, Orlando Taylor another good game. He is not just a good running back, but an outstanding receiver. I think our coure group of 5 receivers, Yates, Reeves, Morris , Taylor and Edwards do a good fine job.

 

To me the offensive linemen were the mvp's. That is not to take away from the big night Shane and Orland had, but let's give our line credit for playing solid and helping Shane and Orlando have big nights.

 

Lastly Cascade is a very good football game. The score does not at all indicate the competiviness of this game. Jbs got two late scores from a long TD run by Orlando and after an interception by Matt Shepherd that he returned to the one yard line that set up the last TD. Cascade is a class team with quality coaching, good players, and superb fans. They are a top ten team.
