at blackman high school...each wrestler pays $100.00 and then has to buy 3 items...a nike hooded sweat top, a pair of shorts and a blackman wrestling t-shirt...total is $63.00 and this is theirs to keep...all of this is either screen prinited or embroidered with blackman wrestling and guys wear it to the matches, practice, etc

 

each wreslter also has to participate in several fundraisers...

 

the rest is taken care of for the wrestler...food at tournaments, hotels, gas for travel, money to pay assistant coaches, head gear, wrestling travel bags, new singlets, new warm ups, ...etc

I have never been invlved in a program that charges a fee to the wrestlers. We have always had fundraisers and tournaments to raise money for the program. The wrestlers are required to be involved in the fundraisers.

MOST OF THE PROGRAMS THAT CHARGE THE REDICLESS AMOUTS ARE USUALLY THE ONES COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH WRESTLERS TO FILL THEIR LINE-UPS.
