What are the qualifications of making a bowl game?

 

I'm not sure of the bowl games but the bowl qualifications are that you must compete for the playoffs but not finish in the top 4 (top 3 in 2A) to make it in. And your team must win at least 5 games.

Seems odd that a 3-7 or 4-6 team could go to the playoffs, but would not qualify for a bowl game.
