The region 3 teams are gonna show how weak they are AGAIN Friday night. Region 3 will lose every game to a much stronger Region 4. Every team in Region 4 would be in the playoffs if they were individually each in Region 3. Region 3 has got to be the weakest region in 5A in the state. Neither Lincoln County or Coffee County would make the playoffs in Region 4. Just look at the Blackman / Lincoln County game or the Coffee County / Oakland game. Oakland finished 1-7 in their region and beat CC up and down the field all night long. Coffee County can compete for a bubble gum region 3 championship but they are no where near competing for a state title nor is any other team in Region 3.

Coffee County will make a mockary of home field advantage and lose AGAIN to Wilson Central. Wilson Central would be Region 3 Champs instead they are a 3 seed in Region 4 and have to play a 6-4 team on the road when they have an 8-2 record. WILSON CENTRAL 41 COFFEE COUNTY 13 J.T. Majors runs wild AGAIN in a laugher and a waste of everyones time. Enjoy the game

Then don't show up. The atheltic dept. can do without your $7 ... you my friend are nothing short of a moron. Get out from behind that screen name and tell some of the players that face-to-face. Anybody can talk a big game behind a computer. Go play in traffic.

As for the game. It really all depends on if the Raiders can get up after a tough loss last week. If they do, it will be closer than last time. I've heard WC has a coupla injuries, not sure how accurate that is. If CC doesn't rebound immediately, it could get ugly.

I guess Cookeville going to Lebanon and absolutely dominating was just a fluke. I think region 3 will come out of the first round with two wins. I will admit that there is a huge gap between the top three teams and the bottom three, but i believe that region 3 will show up in the playoffs this year.

i agree with trucker jon a region 3-5a team can not stand up to a 4-5a team last game wilson central went down to coffee co. and won 33-15 wilson central ran all over them! i went to that game there was great atmospher it was a great game centrals student section blown out coffee co.'s student section! Wilson central's student section will be back for more and so will the Wildcats so Coffee county better be ready! wilson central's defense is getting better every week and the loss to smyrna was the reffs fault you should have seen the bad calls they had on central and the ones they didnt call on the the bulldogs

Actually the LC vs Lebanon is a toss up right now, but I would give the edge to LC playing at the 'Pit'.

As to this game it will be interesting as it will be a virtual wingt vs wingt match up. WC DOES have more team speed though. If CC does not play its very best it will get ugly quick.

agree with you lod, but just when you think that lebanon used up all their magic earlier in the year they have a game like last night

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
