Hey...What can I say...we loss...it happens sometimes! No excuses here, but I have to say that the Volunteer Coaching staff did a heck of a job preparing for this game on both sides of the ball. You could tell that allot of time and effort went into the preparation for tonight's game and it paid off.

To the Vikings I say hold your heads up. To the seniors...its been real! You guys have been a part of many magical moments inside the stone walls of the Castle. And for that I personally thank you. WE had a good season!! Not many teams in Region 1 or 2 can boast that this is the first time in seven years that they haven't made it to the second round of the TSSAA Playoffs. As a matter of fact there is only one that has been able to duplicate (and then some) in 4A or 5A and that's MoWest...period! So before you guy jump up and down and point to laugh just remember there is no doubt the VIKINGS WILL be back next year, as usual...the question is will YOU? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

What about the refs? Didn't they miss the spot on the Turnbill catch on 4th down in OT. It looked to me on the TV highlights that one official started to signal TD but stopped mid gesture.

How did Volunteer stay close? Did THS have an emotional hangover from last week? Someone break it down. This is the biggest win for Volunteer football in 10+ years.

Congratulations to the Falcons. I will admit I did not see this one coming.

Are there enough crows in Sullivan County to feed everyone in Bristol tomorrow?

Seriously, Vikings are a very tough team and we knew that, I think you guys took us too lightly. Congrats to the Falcons on a tough earned win. No gimmes in this game. Every yard was earned by both squads. I hope the boys stay hungry enough to give Greeneville there best effort. Our previous game was a 17 - 7 Greeneville win and we gave up two turnovers in the 4th quarter that allowed Greeneville to score ten points. We know we will have to play our best to have any chance of winning next week. Congrats to the rest of our conference on wins and a valiant effort by Morristown East at South. This Falcon team deserved this win and I'm glad you guys are finally giving us credit because we earned it. We know the Vikings will be tough again next year as they have many weapons returning.

Now Falcons, rest and enjoy tonight, but tomorrow prepare for the Green Devils. We believe in you and I think most everyone else does after tonight. GO FALCONS!!!!

That was part of it, but it just didn't look like we were prepared for Cradic's arm. He kept us off balance through out the entire game. The Volunteer coaching staff just had a great game plan and stuck with it.

The final pass to Turnbul looked good on the replay but I could have sworn I saw a flag in the backfield which I think would have ended the game anyway. I'm not sure about that rule in overtime. The bottom line is that we had no business being in that position in this game in the first place. The Falcons earned this win tonight. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Never to a pretty good guy /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . I'm really glad I'm not in your shoes because I don't think I would do as good as job with handling that type of loss. Looking forward to your continued comments on the football playoffs till BB really gets going. (I can't stand HOF games /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> )

cap an all you other Tn High fans that were talking crap on the Greeneville board this is for you /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

If your going to talk crap about another team make sure your team can back up your mouths. I guess you guys should have been on this tread all week instead of poking your noses around the Greeneville tread

One more laugh just to top things off /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

Hey Cap just in case you didn't see this hear it is again. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
