Well, I lost my first game - I had picked Lewis County. But one loss in two weeks, not too bad.

I wasn't close on the point guess for Milan game. I said 42 and it was 17.

Well - I think this weekend pretty much wraps me up for the year!!! I enjoyed playing and will go home with my nice departing prizes!!!

Official Press Release of the 2007 Annual Gerry Bertier 2A Playoff Pickem Contest for Week 2

 

The Sweet 16 has come and gone and we had some surprising teams headed to the Elite 8. Wr have some Tornadoes, Dragons, two Bulldogs, some Waves, and some other wild animals that will clash next Friday night. This week's high score and current leader of the contest is Divepix. Divepix has missed one game in the first two weeks of the season. The game that most people missed this week I believe was having Westview once again making it to the Quarterfinals. Their early round exit has hurt some in the contest.

 

This week four more contestants are being sent home. There were 3 clear cut choices as they scored under 48 points. However we had to use this year's first tiebreaker and we had to go to the second tiebreaker to determined who stayed. Two contestants did not send in their 2nd week game of the week total points, including the man who runs this contest. So the final spot on the SS Minnow out of the Island was reserved for glover who has 2,000 less posts than myself. May this serve as a reminder to get in your total points for the week. The Board of Directors has decided to keep the eliminated scores throughout the contest to test out the new plan. After week two, those eliminated in week 1 were still at the bottom. So it looks like the plan is paying off. Next week's game of the week will be between
