If AC comes to play football, like they did against Clinton (big hometown rivalry-bragging rights!), Powell, and Catholic, I'm taking AC. I'm not even going to try to guess the score. I think that will be determined by which AC team shows up to play. AC CAN PUT POINTS ON THE BOARD! I'm sorry to say this, but it is no secret, AC's pass defense struggles. (That is a kind statement, at least!) I think if they can get a handle on their pass coverage, they more than likely will come out with the big win. And believe me, it would be a BIG WIN!!! Good luck to both teams. Hope everyone comes away without any injuries. Am looking forward to a great game of Friday night high school football!

Let me give you my opinion, AC pulled the starters in the first meeting mid 3rd quarter. Coach Kerr did it for a reason, and I believe the the AC football team knows the reason and has played better because of it. Fulton knows it too. I am not stupid enough to pick a score, but I can assure you it will be the game to see in East Tennessee. I hope FHS thinks they are 30 points better. I know AC knows better. Ask the Hornets, AC will do their talking on the field.

Great observation olhickory! Great strategy...retreat to fight another day, by Coach Kerr. Coach from FHS left starters in throughout fourth quarter. Final score of that game truly did not depict accurate picture of the way that game was actually played.

I think AC has improved quite a bit since this game. The Fulton Offense was clicking in a way they haven't since. AC should put up some points, but the big question mark is if the defense can show up. IF they do they have a great shot to win the game...if they do not they may give up 30+ to a talented Fulton offense. IF AC pressures the QB Fulton will have a tough time like they did against Catholic...if they do not he will pick them apart...the game hinges upon the play of the front 7 and how often they can get in the face of the QB.

I would certainly not be surprised to see AC win this game .. I think AC has probably improved more during the season than Fulton .. since the first game Falcons now have the 2nd string QB playing and he is a bit inconsistant at times. I agree the key will be getting pressure on him so he cant hit the big play WR's that Fulton has ... AC should control the line of scrimmage as the weakness on Fulton's team is the OL/DL lines .. all things point to a AC win and I am a Fulton fan ... it is always harder to beat a team twice in one year .. the Fulton players as young as they are might be over confident because they will only look at the final score from 1st meeting and not realize that the game was close for 3 Qtrs .. so I would expect AC to definately come in expecting to win ..again all things point to a AC win IMO ... Falcons certainly have not had the breaks this year .. they probabaly have had more TD's called back for penaties than any team I can remember .. if they can play diciplined and not commit silly Penalties I think it can be a game. Hope all the kids stay free from Injury and the Seniors that may be playing their last ballgame enjoy this time becuase it will be memories that you will always have ....

Blah blah blah.... Sounds like week 2 smack talk. As improved as you have become, with great games against Catholic & Powell, You let Austin East drill you 40-2. Is it a speed thing or just a bad game? No one is bragging about how great our line is.... But if you had problems with them in week 2... can you plow through them in week 11?

AC must play its game and not allow Fulton to dictate the tempo. Also, AC has to account somehow for Fulton's big play ability. Therefore, pressuring the QB will be paramount in order not to leave the DB's hanging out to dry. I think AC will rise to the challenge.

i agree with u but the thing is if the secondary shows up to play then ac is gonna set the tone on the front 7. ac has one of the best run defenses their pass coverage is what hurts them. and lets not forget ac has big play potential as well!

The same week we lost to AE, our kids spring break the week after we should have beat the number one team in the state as far as our region, Fulton played Kingston (who we beat) to a very similar score. GO MAVS!!! Plus Fulton left there starters in to run up the score that week after AC had rolled over and played dead. Revenge is a female dog!!!

Hold on MavFan ... Fulton scored some points in 4th Qtr in the first matchup because the Mavs gave up .. plus Cobb didnt hardly play in 4th Qtr ... the 2nd and 3rd team TB's ran the most in the 4th Qtr ... And I know the 2nd team QB and Line was in ..I was at the game and know all the players ... so that excuse is wrong ... Im feeling better about this game now ..went by Fulton practice yesterday and they are loose and I saw concentration and confidence. And also I think AC beat Kingston by 1 TD .. Fulton beat them 34-2 and the 2 points they got was on a block in the back in the end zone after Fulton had intercepted a long pass ... should be a good game ... If Fulton holds down penalties I think Falcons win .. gonna say 26 - 14.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
