Pickett Co. Thanksgiving Classic

Pickett Co. plays Cumberland Co. and Wartburg this weekend in their thanksgiving classic. Anybody got any info on Wartburg? Didn't they make it to substate as well last year? I figure Cumberland Co. is about like they were last year

Wartburg beat University High last year in sub-state im not sure what they have this year though

Wartburg lost 7 players from last years team that made the state tournament they played PC two years ago and I was very impressed with them they was a young team back then I was told by a PC fan that night that they would hold kids back in JR.high so they would be better ball players when they got to high school

Pickett always 'stacks the deck' at their Thanksgiving classic. I expect them to go undefeated and not really be challenged too much.

Wartburg had heavy graduation losses from last year's state tournament team. Are well coached and have enough players back to be a solid team. Play a style that borders on organzied chaos. The more frentic it is the better they like it.

Yeah PC holds their kids back....well they used too....the state passed a rule so that you can't be held back in school anymore....but thats how it is, alot of kids in PC stay back, I know I did.....its gives us a year to mature. Thats why PC's basketball heritage is as rich as it is. Other schools around talk bad about us for doing this, even blame that on why we beat them.....well all i have to say is your welcome to do it as well. I hope this is a good ball game this weekend.
