It is early in the season, but the Bolivar girls are looking really good. They have won 5 games so far this year. 2 Hall of Fames, 1 Jamboree, and 2 Lexington Thanksgiving Classic. They are a young team and they are hungry for wins this season. The past 2 years have not been so good. They won maybe 5 games in that 2 year span. Good Luck to the Tigers.

I think the Lady Tigers are going to surprise some people this year. They have a very good freshman point guard and some good young players surrounding her. I am looking forward to watching them play this season.

The point guard was the MVP for all 3 years at the middle school and the MVP in the small school sectional championship game in Memphis in which they won. Not only can she dribble, but she can get in the paint and make big plays for her teammates and shoot the 3 ball. Brooke Crisp will be on the wing with the other 3 ball, Johnson in the lane for the rebounding and put backs. Go Tigers!!

Yes, I think Bolivar will be the Cinderella team this year. The team looks well rounded and balanced. Excellent ball handling froming starting point guard, #24; as well as #33, coming off the bench; who is also a baller with skillful passes. I like this team because right not they are playing unselfish team ball.

It was very obvious that last year, when you were looking for a coach, that the Boliver program was somewhat disorganized. At theat time a number of people were interviewed for the job without any success. Then your current coach was hired but with two years of some inactivity, the program looked as if it would take some time to recoup. As you realize, playing first year players out of Middle School will take some time to do that. What steps are being taken to make sure this doesn't happen again as this school is known in West Tennessee to have had a great program.

Last year, I dont think we were looking for a coach. Other school were looking at our coach. As far as I know, the current coach has been at the school for about 11 or 12 years. He just recently started coaching the girls about 4 to 5 years ago because the former coach decided to be a guidance counselor. He has been offered other jobs at different schools but decided to stay at Bolivar.
