pantherdad
we heard from a non bias person from neither county looks like jackson county ran upperman down?? some of the girls not in good conition to play a hard game like that? just wondering?? did that make the difference in the outcome of the game? did upperman just run out of gas? jimbo44
Jackson Co. used 10 players in the first half. Upperman used 8. Conditioning had nothing to do with this game? Spreading the fouls around was part of the tactic, keeping fresh legs in the court was another part of it. Keeping the big gun on the bench for most of the first half worked out to be the dagger, with fresh legs. It was a numbers game to start. jchs39
The Upperman girls were and always will be in shape on this night Jackson County was just better, next time it could go the other way.

GottaLuvIt
Upperman wasn't outhustled, they were outrecruited. Boy that was a good one! No Jackson Co. fan has heard anything along those lines yet...lol /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Give it a rest already. A win is a win and we got it! devilish
Upperman wasn't outhustled, they were outrecruited. All the girls were jackson county reared, except Leonard, Dailey. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> We just have talented players. We have a deep, deep bench. We also have the best coach. Upperman was just out played defensefively as well as offenseively. Just look at the stats. They speak for themselves. We don't need anymore "outside" people. We have plenty of talent on the bench that are pure bred jackson countians. So, this should not be an issue for at least 3 more years or so. b[manager]
the upperman ladies were just always used to winning and didn't expect it to be that good of a game. lets admit our girls were a little sluggish and horrible shooters. but i mean there team is good. but is it only good because he recruits? GottaLuvIt
Misty Maxwell came from Baxter. Besides Dyer, Maxwell and Leonard are the other two best players. Take them away, and it wouldn't be a very fun game to watch. Maxwell has been there since her freshman year, so I don't think that classifies her as a "transfer". It doesn't matter where they came from or when they moved. Players move for different reasons and if its the best thing for them then that's their business. gatorbillmsu
Upperman came ready to play. JCHS came ready to WIN. It had the potential to be a great game. If Uppermans shots had fallen, it could have been completely different. But they didnt. And that, my friends, is basketball. I will add, while I do not believe this changed the outcome of the game, it was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. Like I said, JCHS would have still won, but with good (or at least BETTER officiating) this would have been a more entertaining game. The "make-up" calls were rediculous. Be ready to blow your whistle, do not count on the next guy making the call. Just be prepared, and dont be a chickenbleep. That young kid out there was way too inexperienced, and was just horrible. anyways, congrats to JCHS. Great game. Good gameplan, good execution. No fluke win. That is a very good ballteam. GottaLuvIt
NO. courtney, misti, emily and amy are all jackson countians. Laken is a welcome addition from red boilling springs. As you might recall, we didn't need any transfers to beat you guys in the state. You do remember the 4 state championships that we won in row?? I agree with gottaluvit. Who cares why people from other schools want to play for coach brown. I mean how many transfers do other highschools have?? Why it is such a big deal that people want to play for the greatest girls coach??I'm sick and tired of the rumors about we only win because we have transfers or that coach brown recruits?? prove it that he recruits. Check out the bench. all but one is native jackson countian. But, she is also a very welcome addition to the team. All this recruiting rumors and malicous gossip started when the ross twins moved down from york. For your own info, they played behind or sat behind brandi brown at york. Moved to jackson county because the twins would have an opportunity to play ball. If coach brown was recruiting, why did he not get Brandi Brown( top notch player) instead of the twins??? makes no sense does it?? Just a thought Very good points. I think some people just have a hard time accepting that we have a good group of kids that all get along. I guess that's rare for a team these days.
