Heard this team was HUGE and had three guys that are 6'5" and all average about 16-18 points each.

2 6'5" guards and a 6'6" center but I cannot believe they have held these kids to such a low score. Something must have happeded that caused it. Just wish we knew what. Maybe Tammy will let us know soon. Sounds like no one on wc 's team scored.

"85" Like I said earlier in this thread, White County doesn't have good size and when they play a team that does, I was a little worried on how they would respond.

I got word that they couldn't get the balldown the court and lost it a lot. Puckett got an intentional foul called on him when they were just pushing each other which they said had been going on all night. Their feet were tangled together and he was trying to get his foot loose and they called a T on him and coach Mithchell took him out and never put him back in. This was in the third quarter. They have three guys who have signed with division 1 schools and the refs were leaning heavily for them. Final score was 8l to 42. Lots of people there were really upset that were not even from Sparta because of the way they did Puckett so I was told. They said they would have walked out. He was really holding his own and scoring and they did not like it. When you play againgst Div l signees you do not get the calls. It is always that way,

WC cruised by Clay County barely breaking a sweat. It was a boring game. I think they walked into Lexington Catholic with a false sense of security.....and it is costing them. A loss like this will only pay off in the long run. You have to admit that KY bball is a cut above most teams in TN and White County made a good choice taking them on. Whoever they play next will pay dearly.

I am not mad becasue Cookeville lost to Dyer Co. Cookeville isn't a very good club this year. I def don't think Dyer Co. will win state either. And all I am saying is that i've seen alot of basketball played especially around the upper cumberlands and after watching this years WC team, i do not think they are any better than teams in the past. I understand how they could be ranked for their 12-0 start but ive just seen way better basketball. I guess the quallity of teams are down this year, or maybe for sure just in 7aaa.

I am not trying to insult any of the teams in 7AAA by this statement, but I agree with you Mr. Heisman. I think the whole district as a whole is down this yr. Last yr we had tons of big name srs with experience and skill. This yr we don't really have any of the big names throughout the district like we have had in yrs past. No one making the cover of On The Ball.

Rough game tonight in both senses of the word. Kentucky basketball is very physical and we had a hard time adjusting. We fell behind 10-0 right off the bat and was behind 23-6 at the end of one. It ballooned to 47-18 at the half. Puckett didn't go to the bench until the third quarter. We turned the ball over a lot against their pressure which was constant. They either pressed or ran and jumped at half court. They got out on our shooters and caused a lot of problems getting open looks. We shot one of 14 on threes and were 10 of 38 from two point range. They were a very fundamentally sound team that can score and really gets after it defensively. Tyler Greene led us with 10 points. Next was Brown and Puckett with six each. They were a very good team although I don't believe they were 50 points better than us. We should bounce back against Boyle County Friday.

Thanks for the info. Shooting only 21% from the field /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> won't win us many games.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
