BlazetoFlames, I am doing fine and thanks for asking. How was your soccer season? Also, when is your Spring break and which game will you be attending? I will try to break free to see some of the games and hopefully will run into you. Good luck with school.

It was amazing thanks for asking. I would enjoy talking to you about things but i dont think here is the best place. Do you have an alternate email that i could reach you at? What do you think the district will look like?

You are right. I was just hoping you could say what game you would be attending and it would possibly be the same game I was going to. Glad school is going ok. Now, off the personal stuff and back to the district.

I agree that a lot of the teams lost good talent last year and the district is starting on a down note with the exception of Riverdale. I believe that Riverdale has the advantage going into the season. It remains to be seen how the younger players on the other teams will develop over the season and which team is coming together by the end of the season. The games should be competitive because of the overall equity. Regardless, our district games are always fun to watch.

Should be another fun year, as District 7-AAA is always exciting and intense. I know some predictions have been shared but I would just like to throw mine in.

*Note I have no knowledge of incoming players so predicitions are based solely on returners.

Riverdale, Cookeville, Blackman, Siegel look to be the contenders for the title.

Riverdale- Solid Forward, Midfielder, and Keeper will help them be successful. We'll see if they can rebound from a disappointing year.

Cookeville- Lost a lot of senior talent from last year, but also have some very good skill players remaining. It helps to have a returning all-stater. We'll see if the cavs can score enough goals to take first.

Blackman- Also lost a lot of senior talent but will still be very solid. Also return an all-stater and should have a good attack. Maybe a bit weaker in the midfield than last year but should be improved at forward and the keeper position.

Siegel- Have had a lot of young talent the past few years, maybe this is the year they can finally break through and take first. Should have a solid mid-field.

Also:

Warren Co- Tony Garibaldi may just be the best player in the district at forward. Will he have help?

Lebanon, Oakland, and White Co should be about like they've been lately.

If I had to pick I'd say

1. Riverdale or Cookeville in a toss up

3. Blackman

4. Siegel

Sadly, district 7-AAA is going to be very weak this year. Too many teams lost too any players. Riverdale takes this one hands down. With James in goal and jasper controlling the rest of the pitch i seriously doubt anyone in the district will touch them this year.

Riverdale

Cookeville

Blackman

Siegel

Lebanon

Warren County

Oakland - is not going to surprise anyone they get blasted every year

White County

is this the jasper that plays for the metros club team??

Whoever that is saying Jasper controls the pitch is a joke. I have played with Jasper since 5th grade and never does he control the pitch. He is a good player. Jose is far better than him and so it Patrick. How does Jasper control the pitch at foward anyway? If Jasper is controlling the pitch with any sort of team they must have truly been lame. Riverdale does not take this one hands down at all.

I will find out if siegelsoccer17 is a Siegel player and address this situation. My apologies for the immature, derogatory remarks of siegelsoccer17. Some don't realize that when you make statements in an open forum while using siegel soccer as your tag your statements can be taken to reflect the opinions of the whole program. In this instance, siegelsoccer17's comments do not reflect the attitudes of the Siegel Soccer program. Jasper is an outstanding player.

I should and will check these boards more often.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
