Way to go Moore County! I guess Coach Morris is eating a little humble pie tonight...maybe he will lose a bit of his arrogance now.

I think someones just a little upset they were beat in district championships by a very well coached team, which happened to have an off night tonight. Then again I'm not surprised you think this, considering your a 'waynecofreak.' /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

lol!! Yeah you are right about Collinwood having an off night..but I'm not upset about district..I'd rather take 2nd in district and be able to continue on in the tournaments any day of the week..I do however hate the loss for Abbie and Leslie, who are great players. They will have a success in college I'm sure. As for Morris all I can say is he is obviously full of himself..for example pressing on mt. pleasants girls in the 3rd quater when ur up by 35+ is pretty sorry.. no wonder he didn't get coach of the year w/ the best team...No one can stand him. I hear I'm not the only one who feels this way..from what I heard he treated Abbie like a red-headed step child.

This is a Michigan/ Appy State upset in my book. I have seen both teams play within the last week and a half, and this one was a jaw dropper. Wayne County and Richland are both looking at a great opportunity now.

We are not lying!!!! This set up a great opportunity for several teams. Unless something else major happens, WC and Richland are playing Monday night for a trip to 'Boro. Just my opinion. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The winner of Richland/Wayne County game will almost certainly win the Region Tournament (barring another upset) and host a Sub-State game, which is pretty much a State Tournament birth handed to them on a silver platter. What is even more interesting is that if Richland is able to beat Wayne County, it would be an All-11A Championship Game. I cannot tell you the last time that happened.

big congratulations going out to the collinwood trojanettes for another great season with another 12a championship!! The thing I like about this team is the fact they had only two seniors this year! Those two are great players and will be missed but NO LESS THAN FIVE OF collinwood's top eight players in the rotation were >>>>>>>>>SOPHOMORES!!!!!!<<<<<<<<

As for Coach Morris......the thing I never did get about that guy was the way he always played abby andrews about fifty freaking feet from the basket....what the huh??? I would have let her roam the lane , thrown her the ball....took the automatic two points and headed for the other end........with her good size and great athletic ability nobody could have done a darn thing to stop her inside...........putting her ten miles away from all the action never made a darn lick of sense to me.........if nothing else think of the rebounds she could have gotten inside...........what a waste of the best player in the state

It's sad when your most bitter rival can see the problem in your program isn't it! I just pray that administration is seeing this problem too 'Freak'. THIS IS THE MOST DISSAPOINTING SEASON IN TROJANETTE HISTORY!!!!!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
