I expect Red Bank to be the best, because they return the most.

However, I have seen Ooltewah play and they looked solid, if not spectacular. I will get to see Soddy Daisy tomorrow at McCallie and will know more about them then. I don't think I'll get to see Central before the season.

Red Bank does return alot and also have two transfers from Ooltewah. That shold be an interesting game. Ooltewah, we've shown what we can do. yet we need to be more consistent with our bats and on defence. Pitching shlouldnt be a problem for us if we can stay healthy.

I haven't got the chance to see Red Bank play yet this season but it won't be any suprise to me if they are spectacular.

Ooltewah vs Red Bank on April 7 (@ O-town) and April 8 (@ RB) should be a really good game.

I had the chance to see Soddy Daisy play McCallie today in a scrimmage game.

Soddy Daisy looks very similar to Ooltewah, solid but not spectacular. The Trojans did defeat McCallie in the game I had, but it is still so early.

I would bet this district would come down to which team, if any, has a dominant pitcher or pitchers. That seems to be the way most districts break down, pitching usually gets it done in the district games.

Red Bank is the team to beat for sure. They have a stellar pitching staff that has the ability to take them a long way. Ooltewah is definitely not spectacular by any means. Their team consists of several sophomores with an average pitching staff. Central is weak, And Soddy has some ability but i dont expect anyone to get past Red Bank.

What's it matter if the team consists of several sophomores? if you can play ball then you can, no matter what grade. Ooltewah's Pitching is definitely above average. maybe not the best but far from average.

Well overall sophomores are lacking experience, strength, and some mental aspects of the game. An example of an above average pitching staff would be Red Bank. No other staff in the area even comes close. Ooltewahs pitching staff obviously wasn't good enough to beat Meigs County.

Meigs County?

What does Meigs County have to do with anything?

We (Ooltewah) lost to meigs last saturday. but the pitching staff gave up 3 earned rest. the other four were unearned. so the pitching staff was good enough, just not the defense. and you can't base you're prediction on an entire staff on 1 game.

Ooltewah won the season opener verse grace big 17-2. Remo Tinti pitched extremely well. don't hold me to it but i believe he threw a 2-hitter and a shutout thru 4 innings. Dakota Williams and Jamie Gawthrope both had HRs. Thoughts?

Other updates from the district?
