central dominates York

Your girl fell on going for a rebound and hit her mouth and the other hit the floor when she was fouling the crap out of Hannah so don't use your two falls to act as if this game was fair. However, I did not want to see any of the girls hurt and I'm glad they were not. And how can you say we got away with serious contact! We hardly touch one of your girls and we got a foul. Really, we could go up and up and up under the goal and you guys bash us to death and no call what so ever. Your team is great but this ballgame would have been different if it was called correct. And stop using "our five girls comment". They played all year and stayed out of foul trouble and would have last night. At one point in this game I thought to myself I cannot believe that the ref's can just take something away from a team and be so obvious with it. Oh yeah, and why did they make our cheerleaders and fans stay behind a line while your cheerleaders stayed at the same place and your group of fans stand under the goal next to the line all night? Don't know what was up but one of the refs had it out for us at the start.

We've tried to be nice. Compliment you and go on, but you don't want it. And for the nice York folks that are being quiet, I'm sorry. But to the one's that don't know ANYTHING about basketball, take this time that you will be setting at the house and LEARN the game. Central kick some YORK tale last night. They did it with the bench, with the starters, and with the coach. For those of you that think the refs made a 21 point difference in that game, don't be so silly. That just makes you look dumb. As for us, we're going to forget this game as of 2:00 today, when we learn who our next opponent is. I guess you'll learn your next opponent when NEXT YEAR'S schedules are released.

Well said Thug! IF you understand basketball, you know you can't play to that tempo with 5 players and no subs. Be realistic, York was tired midway through the second qtr and started reaching instead of moving the feet to get position. Central spread the floor in the second half and let the guards penetrate again when York showed they were leg weary, and again a lot of reaching and grabbing calls were made. As for the refs, no one has ever seen these guys before, don't even know where they came from. The Central girls are not 31-2 for nothing, give them some credit!!! And by the way, Central's only two losses were to AAA Cleveland who destroyed Lebanon last night and to AAA a 27-6 Maryville Heritage team that was upset in their region. Have some respect folks.

"YOU" are the one who needs to learn respect as indicated by your initial post.

Congrats to McMinn Central for their win. Good luck at state, but YOU need to chill out and not disrespect York fans before they have even said a word about this game. You started the discussion about the refs, not us.

Just remember thug dadi if you would have come to york last night the better of the two teams would have won because i can guarantee the best team would have won last night and that is york because of different officials as i said before you cant take those officials with you to murfreesboro because they are probably looking for a job this morning and by the way i dont think you will make it past wednesday in my honest opinion because you will have different refs with you on wednesday, and as far as your tired five girls comment we werent tired when you do that all season the girls are going to be in good shape and not be tired so bullcrap on your comment about being tired in the third or even second quarter thats ridiculous. There were only one reason we lost that game last night and you know it wasnt the difference between the two teams. Mcminns girls are good but to be 21 points better than us your not 21 points better than us on your best night except when you bring those officials with you and with those officials being from knoxville its hard to believe any of you didnt know any of those officials and its hard to believe those officials didnt know where your school was and by the way the officials were not late, anyways good luck in murfreesboro your going to need it.Oh and yes i can see why your girls can shoot free throws so well they have had plenty of practice if every one of their games have been called like the one was last night out of that 66 points you scored last night 40 of them were probably from the free throw line it will not be like that in murfreesboro i can promise you that.

I understand Centrals excitement in the win. I understand Yorks dissapointment in the loss. But York fans need to realize York girls are very hit and miss. They beat Upperman at home then got blown out by 41 spread next meeting. Next at district they made it to finals and Upperman started pulling shooters in second quarter. They made it to region finals and played on of the best games ever. At sectionals they were again out of the zone. I agree you cannot be consistant with only 5 players there is no rest. This applies not only to the game at hand, but to the hoard of games at a quick pace day after day to get there. This type of play causes leggs to get weak quick and fouls to try to keep up.

HOW MUCH DID THOSE REF'S COST YOU!!!!!!!!!!

good job dragonettes on playing trough the horrible horrible calls , and those five you are talking about would have beatin you easily if there had been even close to decent calls , and as for saying this game was fair it was so far from fair that we could't even see the light from fair!!!

First of all I would like to say that the Chargerettes have had a great season and they would not have gotten as far as they have by riding on the coat tails of officials. The Dragonettes of York were simply outplayed last night. I do agree that there were questionable calls made on both sides and if the game had been decided by 2 points or even 10 points then a valid argument could have been made. This simply was not the case. The Dragonettes had MULTIPLE opportunities under the goal and chose to pass outside to their 3-point shooters (who were obviously struggling through a lot of the game). This shows a lack of depth and experience on both the team as well as their coach. As for the student section and cheerleaders being moved back and the two York boys who had to be escorted from the court by York teachers. . . more class could have been shown. At this point you should know that cheering is okay, but when vulgarities are being used (and they were), the officials try to get them under control. I will be at the state games and I hope that the Chargerettes continue to dominate and further the legacy of Central Basketball and Coach Morgan.

defense what defense your girls didnt play defense u shouldnt have been in the gym when york got out to a 5-0 lead and then the next trip down for mcminn they called 3 fouls in a row on york yes that was great defense . 22 york fouls in the second half to mcminns 5 fouls when you guys full court pressured i dont think so. Those 3 officials the 2 blacks ones were awful and the white one wasnt that great either where did u find those boys down the road in etowah, you probably did i wouldnt have cared if you would have beaten us by20 with it being officiated the correct way if them boys were the best officiating crew you boys have got then east tennessee officiating is so pitiful.Gatorbill u better be glad you hit that game winning shot against us in the region because if you would have had to endure what we did tonight upperman would have also lost by 20 them refs knew who was going to win that game before they ever stepped inside the gym tonight. Mcminn one last thing for your domination where was that full court pressure at tonight we were disappointed our girls run right through your full court presssure like it wasnt even there, oh and yes i just forgot you cant take those sorry officals with you to murfreesboro because they will probably not have a job after tonight anyways.....thanks for the 150 mile screwing because if we were going to get messed around like that we would have just stayed home.

classy post. Two different York players could have gotten T'd up for throwing punches and/or elbows on dead balls (#10 and #32). That's not to mention their language. I think you are exaggerating a bit on the foul count. We had two players with four and three players with three.

In addition, the TSSAA assigns referees. They were from Knoxville, and this was the first game all year that we've seen them. If they'd have called every foul, #32 would have fouled out long before she did. The flying body block into #22 for us on the rebound for a no call was one in particular. How does Lambert, #22 bust her lip on the floor after contact from #32 on a rebound without being fouled? Jordan, #24, also had her head slammed against the floor on a rebound, but there was no call. Just be thankful the the refs didn't call everything or your lack of depth would have been exposed much earlier than it was.

Unless they have the same refs which they won't they will probobly lose by about 15-20 points

Explain the PUNCH that your pg #10 threw and landed on Lee, #20 for us during a scramble for a loose ball in the 4th. The call? Alternate possession.

Refs might make a three or four point difference in a game, but 21 points?? Come on. A lot of you upper plateau people really irk me. When you lose, it's never the region 3 team's skill or depth. It's the refs, or the gym. WIN YOUR REGION, and you can play at home next year. To deny the fact that fatigue contributed to your girls being out of position and therefore, fouling, is also asinine.

They way a lot of you upper midstate people act, you'd think someone from Livingston, Baxter, or Jamestown invented the game rather than Dr. Naismith.
