Thursday March 6th

 

McMinn Central V. Austin-East - 11:00

 

Gibson Co. V. Marshall Co. - 12:30

 

Should be a great tournament with great teams....let's put out some predictions!!!

Milan is the most athletic team in the top half of the bracket. However, that does not necessarily mean they are the best team. They and Upperman should win their first round games and meet in the semi-finals. If they both win, that game will be real interesting watch.

 

As for the bottom half, it is anyone's guess. Whoever makes the final out of that section will be battle tested (and probably very beat up).

The bottom half is loaded. The top is the bracket I would wanna be in.

Stone Memorial should beat upperman in the first round.

Upperman is a very good team, but stone is better.

Upperman can't stop Destany Dishman or Caitlin Sanders.

All of the games should be very enjoyable.

Whoever makes it out of the bottom bracket will find it very hard Saturday afternoon in that championship game. Playing 3 games in 3 consecutive days against the best teams in the state will be VERY hard. The top bracket will have 1 day off to watch from the stands and prepare for their next game. Marshall Co. won the AA tournaments last year did they not? If so, there is no fear here. I honestly believe our girls have what it takes to win the gold this year! Coaching, speed, athleticism, GREAT 3 point shooting, very strong post play, an all-around awesome team! I honestly believe this team is better than the 33-0 team we sent to state a couple of years ago. That year we did play a not so strong schedule and didn't have the shooters or the speed we have now. last year is a whole other story. that was then, this is now. people gain and lose people. looking at austin easts' record they shouldn't even be in the state tournament. they must have lost several people from last year
