TNSOCCER9
Paul Banks at CBHS is one of the best freshman in the state. CBHS has a great team, but he makes them special. He adds a different kind of threat to their team. He can dribble like most forwards, but he can also blow by you. He plays like a junior or senior with his combination of skill, speed and strength. CBHS does a great job of using the width of the field. They spread teams out and use their enormous amount of skilled club players to move the ball around. Paul helps them spread the field with length, something they have missed the last couple years. If you saw him at the Bearden tournament, he was pretty good, but remember the fields were a mess and he wasn't able to show off his speed. CBHS has about 80 club players try out for their soccer teams. He is the only freshman to make the varsity and he is starting. Of course, he is a freshman and as one will have off days. But, believe me, he will be exceptional.
photography101
Jackson Strange from South-Doyle is a strong player, about 6'1 lightning speed, great vision i think if his finishing gets a a little better he will be all region freshman year, I think he plays right mid. photography101
Austin Pugh from Maryville is another one to watch. No, He is too small and his shots arnt strong enough, he took about 3 or 4 against SD that just floated straight to the keeper.
soccerman11
No, He is too small and his shots arnt strong enough, he took about 3 or 4 against SD that just floated straight to the keeper. Obviously you haven't seen him play much. His size has never stopped him before(besides he is only a freshman), and nobody on that field at SD had a good shot that night because it was under 4 inches of water. Besides he plays defensive center mid right now and his job is to control the action and distribute. He has great touch and vision and is extremely smart on the field.
