In relation to tonight's hendersonville vs. gallatin soccer match, taking place on the field of dreams, the out come of that game is almost certain. So all you people of lesser intellengence here is an analogy that you might be able to comprehend. Imagine a picturesque forest; the sun is shinning, the birds are churping, the grass glimmers with the early morning dew, and a lovely virgin deer comes gallivanting across this tranquil environment. But you hear the ground shake as the unknown creature of the wood approaches. With each tremendous step the beast grows more and more near. Out of the bushes comes the legend, the elusive monster that is big foot. Big foot steathly waltzes up to the unexpecting deer. Then the deer sees him but it is too late. You quickly dart away from the onslaught of horrific events unfolding before you very eyes. In this scenario big foot represents hendersonville while the victimized dear is gallatin. In the upcoming game hendersonville will act like big foot and grab the deer by the throat and have its way with it.

Go Golden Bears, Soon To Be 9AAA District Champs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the most thrilling and hard fought matchup that i have witnessed in awhile Hendersonville comes away with a huge win over Gallatin 3-2 in tonights semis game. Hendersonville scored in literally the last seconds of regulation to send it in ot and seal the victory. They will be takin on lavergne in the finals this thursday.

Looks like the deer was a buck who fought to the very end! This guy is 0-2 on his predictions.

I would agree on the thrilling portion. It felt like Hendersonville just could not get momentum all night, Gallatin did a great job of keeping things off balanced down the stretch. I'm not certain they beat Lavergne unless they come ready to score. They allowed Gallatin to stay confident throughout and Lavegne should capitalize more on that if allowed. Hville won the regular season 3-0 but this will be much closer. Lavergne has some serious scoring threats up top. Hville does as well but they've just not broken out with a scoring fest this year.

One other occurence about the game last night that I found interesting. As the end of regulation neared, Gallatin did all the things that most teams are taught to do - only with a bit more obvious intention...they stalled. They took their time with goal kicks, occassionally would re-tie their shoes, walk after missed balls, etc. and the center ref really took control of all of that. The final 2 minutes of that game felt very long as the ref added additional time for stoppage, and apparently for stalling. In this case, I think the stall may have come back to bite Gallatin. Every team does it, but it simply had the reverse affect last night and gave Hville some additional time to score.

    • Wouldn't the easiest move be to move McCall up to HS Principal and have Gulley take over as MS Principal?
    • Bounder, you are correct. And it is so easy today. As a civilian today, I can check my 6th grade grandson’s grades in real time. 46 years ago as a young head coach, I knew who were my weak students and would do a weekly check. A decade and 1/2 later as an administrator, I would ask guidance for attendance, and grade reports as I did my own discipline reports. 5 years later I could run all those reports in a few minutes. today Text one the Secretaries and they can create a red flag report only printing the names with D’s and F’s or attendance and discipline issues. You are not even dealing with a whole team. The only problem with modern technology is someone who might not want to know.
    • No I didn't,  I just know jellico lost a few and should in playoffs tho....but they have alot coming in the next few yrs
    • The buck stops with the head coach, he should have know if any of his players  were not making the required grades. Either he has someone checking weekly before games and reporting to him or he should do it himself.
