Franklin Rage 17U Finishes 2nd @ KOS

Recommended Posts

Franklin Rage advance to title game.

The Franklin Rage made the best of their weekend in Clarksville coming up one bucket short in overtime falling 47-45.

Steady offense and heady shooting kept the Rage in contention throughout the weekend. Michael Young (Franklin), Kevin Kegarise (Franklin) and Peyton Henry (Franklin) made everyone respect their outside shooting knocking down shot after shot.

Each player contributed throughout the event with Young knocking down 23 in one game finishing as the teams high scorer at around 13 per contest. Kegarise is deadly when his feet are set and he also averaged around 12+ for the weekend.

Henry was a steady hand on Saturday with his high basket ball IQ and ability to penetrate and make the right decision with the ball. His slight build gives his defneder hope until he blasts by them and hits one his thankful teammates for another three ball.

The Rage played the tourney without the services of emerging big man James Haddix (Franklin), who is recovering from an injury.

Daniel Miller-McLemore (Franklin) and Reed Glover (Franklin) were also instrumental in the Rge surge to the title game.

Congratulations to the Rage. A great team of great players on and off the playing floor. Are the sophomores that joined them this year seeing any playing time? The Rage has really beefed up its schedule this season and having tremendous success. Keep up the great work in representing Franklin and Middle TN.

Danny Kibler provided a huge spark in the championship game scoring 10pts off the bench, Austin Pace was steady all weekend as palying time increased. Logan Nelson (foot injury), may be ready to go by (Sub-State). Freshman Debrelle McLemore shows glimpses as to why the freshman is playing 2 yrs up.
