if waverly can play like they did through district and can play like they have nearly all year at home..except the sycamore game..they should be able to hold off the tigers from bolivar. good luck to wavo central, goin far guys!!

If Bolivar starts Irvin and hits well , Waverly better bring there "A" game or they will get rolled by the green Tigers .

im telling you right now, purcell from waverly is a very good pitcher. with him on the mound, waverly has a very good chance to beat anybody.

I agree with 88Duck, if Bolivar pitches Irvin and they hit the ball like they know they can, then Waverly will have trouble with them. What kind of pitching has Waverly seen this year?

It's not about Waverly's hitting when Purcell is on the mound. I heard today that he was 8-0 and gave up 2 earned runs this season. I don't know how factual that is, but he is a very good pitcher and has a lot of poise for a freshman. He doesn't typically need a lot in the way of run support. He's the epitomy of the crafty lefty.

I don't know much about Purcell and his pitching but even with a great pitcher, if your hitting doesn't put runs on the board u can't win

As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity?
