1st Game: Memphis East vs Maplewood

 

2nd Game: Trezevant vs Pearl Cohn

 

 

Both games take place on Saturday August 23 at Pearl Cohn High School. The first game will start around 4PM and the second game will follow at around 7:30PM.

 

 

 

 

Memphis East is going to be much improved this season from what I have been told. Maplewood is coming off of one of their best years ever. That matchup will be a good one to get things started. Trezevant is a playoff team year in and year out in Class 3A out of Region 8. Pearl Cohn has been to the semifinals the last two years but they will be a "new look" football team when they take the field in this one.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Memphis East will not be very good this year. Maplewood should be in control from the get-go. Trezevant will be athletic, but in the end, not good enough for Pearl. Look for the two Memphis teams to crash and burn!!
