I'll play

7th grade wrestled wherever. Started the season weighing 117 and ended weighing 145. That's what I call a growth spurt.

9th- 189 or 200 for freshmen matches. We had a 200 weight class if it was strictly freshmen. I think.

10th - 12th 215. weighing 215. 10th grade I was a little lighter at around 200. Cut to 189 for a few matches. 11th & 12th there was no way I could make 189. I only missed weight once. 218. It was a tournament so I just jumped rope for 30 minutes in sweats and made it.

No college wrestling, but I've wrestled in some open tournament weighing anywhere between 199 and 220 depending on my appetite. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I'm now a solid 210-215. More muscle and less baby fat that my HS 215. 25 years old so that should be expected. Getting into MMA so I might compete at 185 since most weighins are the day before.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
