Not much being talked about the county, so does this mean our schools are not important. Weeks leading to the season the boards were flowing, but now every one is silent. Who has the county teams played, and where does each team stand in preseason.

northeast scrimmaged stratford tonight. im not sure what the score was but i know northeast scored more. they are looking pretty good i hear

last night, Stewart County, Northwest, and Northeast Scrimmaged each other. Im not sure who won the first game, someone said stewart county won, not sure what the score was. Then Stewart County played Northeast. Northeast easily ran down the field with no problems, the varsity scored three long td runs, but one was called back, then northeast jv scored a td. Last game was pretty good between Northwest and Northeast. There was a lot of fire at the beginning, it brought back memories of the days when northeast was in 4a and they were huge rivals. Northwest came out with the intensity and drove down field on the first drive for a td. After that, Northeast and Northwest exchanged turnovers. On the last play of the game for the varsity, Northeast qb threw the ball down the sideline to the wide out in the endzone and the receiver made a great catch with one hand while his other hand was being grabbed, they made the extra point and won 7-6. then northeast jv pounded northwest jv. northwest threw 3 int and had a fumble returned for a touchdown. overall for clarksville, both northeast and northwest look better than they did last year.

Sounds good. Heard NE is 3-0 in scrimmages, but are they really that good. Heard Rossview has looked well in scrimmages setting up a great match up in week 1.

what has kenwood looked like? how about the wildcats? Usually the best in the ville, but is the dream over? Will NE or NW be the teams to beat this season?

 

I still think that a scrimmage is just that. NE will be 2-8 at best, and NW will be 4-6 at best. NE has beat a stratford team that is hurting, a 2A stewart county team, and NW only by 1 point. If I recall, NE last season almost beat Maplewood in a scrimmage the state 4A runner up, and beat a more talented NW team by 27-0 in a half of a game that was 4 downs. Hard to judge a team by a scrimmage, but are the eagles finally that team that everyone wanted. I think not, but that is just an opinion.

 

Rossview wins in two weeks by 13 points. 34 - 21 is my prediction.
