Do I need to have a CoachT Plus subscription to enable the Search Engine? If not, is it purposely disabled?

It is on purpose. There are so many members using it, and most do not limit their searches to specific dates and key words, that it brings our servers to a stand still while it searches through 462,253 messages. If you ever get on here and get an ips driver error or the site is at a crawl, that is probably why.

 

We are looking for an alternative.

I second that I hope it returns soon. I guess I am one of the few that does do the advanced search and usually limit it to the last 7 days. It would be nice to see what people are writing about certain schools inside posts.

 

Thanks CoachT for the effort...maybe there would be some message to make people narrow their search instead of turning it off.

Why must searches not include words that are less than 4 letters? This makes it impossible to search for topics on schools like DCA, FRA, CPA, MBA, etc. It would sure be nice if that was possible. Thanks.

 

We will try it although I am advised that it will slow the system considerably. If it does I will have to change it back.

 

On busy nights like tonight I will disable the search engine, anyway.

      What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.

      Athletics is just a piece. It can help them academically, socially and add confidence. I was still 17 when I finished my first quarter at UT. I was the last to get my driver's license. It's not always just for athletics.
