City Prep is taking place Tuesday, September 9th at Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. Should be an interesting one-day event this year with perennial favorite Baylor leading the way. If McCallie can get four players to play to their potential at the same time they could give Baylor a run for the title. Will also be interesting to see how Notre Dame and Soddy-Daisy both play as they are having great seasons so far. Have to watch out for Walker Valley who is also strong and could sneak into the top two.

It will be a great one to watch. Baylor is a strong team so is McCallie but Walker Valley and Notre Dame is right in it! It will be interesting if someone could push Baylor out of the way for the first time in a while. Notre Dame has lost one match this year and they shot even par as a team and walker valley shot one under. Also walker valley beat soddy pretty good and Notre Dame beat Soddy shooting a 137 as a team beating soddy by 7 or 8. Watch out baylor!

No need for Baylor to watch out. Baylor wins again and so does the Red Raiders Mitchell. Some things never change.

But Baylor is showing signs of weakness this year that they haven't in years past. Keith Mitchell shot a 77 just the day before and yesterday at the City Prep, Ryan Thornton shot an 82. Baylor's strength has always been having four guys go low and this year they have 2-3 guys going low and a fourth or fifth player struggling "a bit". At State, if they all go low nobody can keep up, but the opening is there this year for someone to sneak in if their fourth (and fifth) players shoot in the high 70's.
