Pantherman85
I don't think zeller would be calling plays for lc he was all defense in greeneville although i think he took a turn at it his last few years but don't quote me to that. Devils, not sure but I think Zeller is calling his own plays, both offensively and defensively. Obviously offensively, it's not working. lcfootball
Counting the last drive, LC was within the 10 3 times. If they had scored in the first quarter from the 1 this would have been a totally different game. A little momentum LC's way would have gone a LONG way early in this game. These boys have lost so much in the past they get down easily and that stop on the goal line was huge for Central and a punch in the gut for LC. Can LC bounce back? I don't know really. This off week will help heal a few banged up players physically, but the mental healing will take a great coaching effort. I'm hearing that some players are feeling left out of the communication loop, so to speak. These guys will do whats best for the team and will change positions and play very hard, but a little explanation goes a long way, telling someone why they are getting moved, replaced or whatever helps them fix problems and improve, just moving them or benching them without COACHING them why doesn't help. LC Football, I could not agree more. You feel for these kids who have not had much success in the past several years. I would like to see the players get coached instead of put down. lcfootball
Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm not saying the coaches just berate these boys and yell at them. I simply believe in telling a player what he is doing wrong instead of just dropping him to 2nd string, or not playing him on offense or defense anymore. These coaches seem to have the respect of the players and I hope that builds in the future, but no communication will not help a situation. You have to remember this is a whole new staff (except one) and these coaches are different than the last staff and these boys don't understand some of the things that are happening. A simple "you keep missing blocks so we will start xx until we can work on that in practice" is what I think people are looking for.

Do not think that's happening over there right now...
