  1. Better get it full crawdad, still 3.20 here and according to gas buddy 3.25 or more in Sparta. Maybe the TSSAA could pitch in a few cents per mile for the fans they have screwed in this process.
  2. I think both should be in over White County, (I understand they finished second in their district and that automatically qualifies them), they finished with a 4-6 record overall and only had to win 3 games in a weak district to finish second. I don't have anything against White County or their players or coaches but still, in with 4 wins and teams out with 5 wins seems a little unfair to me.
  3. I believe they do it that way so you could compare 2 teams from different districts when setting the playoff brackets, this instance did deal with 2 in the same district but sometimes they don't.
  4. I know that, I was simply posting the district rankings with the won loss record and said in the original post that I didn't know the breakdown of the first tie breaker. Thought some reading this thread might like to see it, but then it didn't post like it looked and jumbled it all up.
  5. Well that pasted like crap, anyway Cleveland was 3-3 in district and 5-5 overall Walker Valley 2-4 in district and 5-5 overall and Cleveland beat Walker Valley
  6. Cleveland actually finished ahead of Walker Valley in the district (this is from tssaa website) I'd have to go look at the "opponents that won over 50% of their games" McMinn County AAA 5 6 0 211 95 9 1 317 154 ,Rhea County,Ooltewah,Walker Valley,Cleveland,Soddy-Daisy,Bradley Central Ooltewah AAA 5 4 2 221 98 7 3 329 179 ,Soddy-Daisy,Bradley Central,Rhea County,Walker Valley Bradley Central AAA 5 4 2 167 122 6 4 242 225 ,Soddy-Daisy,Rhea County,Walker Valley,Cleveland Cleveland AAA 5 3 3 193 139 5 5 312 241 ,Ooltewah,Walker Valley,Soddy-Daisy Walker Valley AAA 5 2 4 141 211 5 5 238 277 ,Soddy-Daisy,Rhea County Rhea County AAA 5 1 5 96 185 2 8 149 302 ,Cleveland Soddy-Daisy AAA 5 1 5 52 231 2 8 147 385 ,Rhea County
  7. The tssaa hasn't updated the brackets on their website yet
  8. Any predictions for week 2? Nothing like putting you on the spot huh.
  9. mjuhb you got a bracket put together yet?
  10. I reckon we (LC) should be proud that the Maryville fans feel the need to talk trash toward us, lol must mean the program has improved quite a bit in the last 4-5 seasons. Proud of our players and coaches. Should be a good game, see ya all there.
  11. According to this site http://maryvilleisurf.com/sport/33-local-sports/495-maryville-high-school-football-roster.html there is 101 players, don't know how accurate that is but probably not to far off. The last roster I saw for LC had 50.
  12. Being at a school where playing on every down on both sides of the ball and having really very few backups to run out on the field is a rare thing, I can understand your post. But here in the world of a smaller school the young men play offense, defense, and special teams, some you see almost every snap of the ball all night, while they are outstanding athletes and will play hard all night, injuries will happen, and have happened. While LC has been lucky so far that most are minor, on a team where so much is done by a thin number one major loss can be much more devastating than at a larger school. The truth is that this game, while winning would mean the district title, doesn't really offer much to advance LC in the 5A playoffs. LC can't win the state title Friday night but it sure can lose it.
  13. I'm still wondering how LC will handle this game. Winning means a district title, but how hard do you push for it and at what cost? With several banged up players that play both ways (and most players do at LC) do you go for the gold and take a chance of hurting your team for the playoffs or do you pull your starters at some point and give them some must needed rest (been a hard fought season) knowing 2nd is wrapped up no matter the outcome. You hate to give in but as they say "look at the big picture" and maryville is nowhere in the big picture for LC. Extra rest on knees shoulders and muscles can go a long way this time of year. Honestly I'm not sure if i would even start some of the players.
  14. Any word on who would move into quad 2 to take West place if this happens? Maybe Centennial back in?
  15. 41 to 28 and Farragut shouldn't have score that last TD late. Not a real defensive struggle but LC scored on 2nd play of game and never looked back
  16. Lenoir City should finish 2nd in district 4 due to tie breakers over Bearden and West, hows that change things?
  17. Bearden 24-14, LC should have won that one but had a hard time hanging onto the ball at a couple of crucial times late.
  18. LC in a close one. The home field deal has so many variables I have heard they have to win out and they don't have to win either of the last 2 to get home field. With the top 2 in each district getting top seeds you never know till after the last games are over most of the time. Plus we aren't real experienced at predicting the play-off picture here in LC lol But we are getting better!! Go Panthers
  19. Dakota Vincil Lenoir City Panthers Kick offs go into or through the end zone over 90% of the time Hit 50 yrd FG against kingston Very high % on FG's and extra points Known as "Mr Automatic"
  20. It gets real complicated here in Lenoir City/Loudon County. Lenoir City has 3 schools, Primary, Middle and High all (of course) in Lenoir City. The County operates all other schools including Loudon High, Greenback High and lots of middle and primary schools. One such school is North Middle located in the Lenor City end of the county, but outside the city limits. Lenoir City Middle wanted a football team and had the money to do it, but not enough kids, North Middle wanted a football team and had kids but no money.....SOOO they combined the kids from North Middle and LC Middle and made the North Panthers. They play at LC Middle and the Lenoir City school system puts up most if not all the money with North Middle providing the bulk of the kids. Where it gets really complicated is the county has no High School on this end of the County so all the County kids go to Lenoir City and the County pays a tuition for them to Lenoir City System. With most kids playing ball for North Panthers are county kids, they can (and some have) play for Lenoir City, Loudon, or Greenback because of how all the "zoning" is done. With that said the TSSAA has ruled in the past no matter where you live in this county and which school you start with, you better stay there for 4 years. There have been North Panthers go to Catholic, Loudon, Lenoir City (of course) CAK, and a few other schools. Clear as TN River mud!
  21. All of Lenoir City High School and Lenoir/North Middle School games can be heard on WLIL AM730 and http://www.wlilcountry.com
  22. Richie Wilhite is going to Lenoir City
  23. Maryville by 21. I don't see whatever happened in the first game happening again. Maryville always seems to be looking ahead to the playoffs when they play some teams (well most) and now this is the playoffs so no more looking ahead and they know how to play these next 4 quarters.
  24. Lets see, naught from naught is naught, carry the one, pie r round cornbread r square. This is the STUPIDEST thing T$$AA has done in a long while. Did the guy who invented the BCS sell an idea to the T$$AA?
