I believe its gonna be another close year in this district.

York, Smith Co., and Upperman should be the top dogs with Livingston and Jackson close behind.Cannon and Dekalb will have a down year but cannot be overlooked. The big players to look for are:

Travis Tate York Sr.

Ryan Sleeper Smith Co. Sr.

Joseph Meadows Jackson Co. Sr.

Those three should battle for MVP rights and should be the best players and lead their teams to successful seasons.

I don't know "who" you've been hearing all of that from Zues; but the Owls are returning only one true starter. Don't get me wrong, I hope the Owls do win the district, (and they can); but, they are going to need some big time play out of some guys that have not played that much. Good Luck Owls!

The person who is going to suprise everyone this year is Jamie Gurley from LA. He's bout 6'3" with long arms he had some great games last yr where he got 30 or more and he had some bad games too, but this year he is going to be alot more stable. Yeah Tate is defintley one of the best in the district Meadows and Sleeper can be out played they r good dont get me wrong but Gurley can make them look bad. So watch out for Jamie Gurley cuz he could be right there for the running of district mvp with Tate.

Hey, GoldenBlue, that's great. I respect and appreciate your confidence in your team. I believe the Owls are going to be one of those teams right "there in the thick of things" when it is all said and done. I can't wait for b-ball to start. I wish you guys the best of luck; except for when you play the Owls. Go get 'em Owls.

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
