Ok, so you're basing your beliefs on teh fact that they will have four new guards. So either they were not good enough to play over the "bad" ones last year or they are freshmen. Either way doesnt sound good. We are not talking about McDonalds All Americans as freshmen in college that will be able to make impacts. They are just freshmen or last years second stringers. Makes no sense at all.

.... and yeah, try running and gunning in that district and you'll go 0 and whatever again. These teams in this district are too fast and too athletic for a team with half as much atleticism to try to out run em. Plus you are forgetting that you have to have decent subs when you are using the hard running game and you STILL HAVE TO PLAY DEFENSE! You have to outthink these teams when you are in USJs situation. let them try to push the pace and mark my words...

"0-10"... A record to be reckoned with??? LOL

gotta agree with sharshaw... saying a group of freshman and previous b teamers are some how goin to be this phoenix suns type team with all this fast breaking and great defense is laughable at best... usj will finish at the bottom of the district... sorry this aint football.

I got 1 question!?!?!?! Where did all these "TRANSFERS" come in from!? 4 transfers in 1 year to a private school sounds like a successful recruiting season...just joking folks but honestly why would 4 transfers come to USJ for basketball!?

Only two as far as I know. One an ineligible sophomore, One a freshmen.............AND that was is a very good question.

Here's one that is going to throw you....maybe it was for more than basketball ? Maybe it was a chance to get the best education available ?

(And GC, you had a pretty good recruiting year with the girl "transfer" from Obion County too, didn't you? )

lol one player transfering over is more than believable. its when you have several that i think u must begin to wonder whats going on... but hey. if they get all these good players good for them. like i said. i don't see it making much of a difference at least for a couple years... maybe setting up for a good future though!

haha and gibson county has some of the highest test scores in west tennessee... perhaps the girl player went to gc for education as well? haha /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Heck, we've had 1 transfer in 25 years of existence that has been a transfer of Aubrey's caliber. That 1 transfer is Aubrey of course. I don't call that recruiting.

I could agree with you for the best education possible! HOWEVER, some folks on here are boasting these young kids like their superstars. So, with that being said... I'm sure being a good basketball player, as stated, was a deduction in their tuition /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

All this talk about USJ and only a few seem to know what they are talking about. They have two seniors Danny Smigelski and Grant Diffey. Diffey if he wants to can provide solid rebounding. There are four Juniors Charlie Brackeen who can handle the ball and plays smart has a lethal mid range jumper and hits most shots beyond the arch, Colton Norton who also is a great ball handler and has a pretty good shot also. Eric Deitz not the tallest player but has the quickness to blow by anyone and jump with the best. Austin Martindale another good guard who is athletic and just as quick and anyone from district. There are seven sophmores Grady Hall, Heath Taylor, Ej Miller who can do it all and hang with any oppenent, Teven Ross but he can't play on account of TSSAA rules, Nick Lefridge, Will Pierce who can provide rebounding and is quick for a post, and someone else. There are five freshman Lee Mayhall very quick guard for a freshman has lots of potential, Chase Winslow has an alright shot not blessed with alot of quickness but works his butt off from what i have seen, John Ross Glover who will provide rebounding along with scoring, Shane something, and Thomas Butler. They have a very talented team but they are young it should be exciting to watch them play and see how they adapt with the comp.

Brackeen will never see the floor? You know nothing more than the kids names. All of the Sophomores and three of their freshmen will play before him?????

Norton played last year, Gover is not a guard, Ross is ineligible and you have confirmed you have no idea what you are talking about. Just on here promoting yourself. Either way, good luck this year.

If you knew as much as you thought you did Asitis, then you would know that colton norton didn't even play last year. so get your facts straight next time you want to argue with an actual fan.

    • A little confused.  What charter/prep schools made it to state in Baseball?
    • Fortuitously encountering Clint amidst the ambience of Goodyear this morning sparked an impromptu yet intellectually stimulating conversation, wherein we engaged in a rigorous assessment of prospective candidates for the esteemed role of head football coach. Our discourse, characterized by its spontaneity and depth, led to the formulation of astute observations and discerning judgments regarding the suitability of various individuals for this pivotal position. Allow me to elucidate the fruits of our collaborative contemplation: This commentary endeavors to offer a discerning articulation of my subjective viewpoint, emphasizing a conscientious commitment to maintaining impartiality and refraining from any semblance of derogation directed towards individuals.  Those who possess meritorious qualifications for the esteemed head coaching role, delineated without hierarchical precedence, include: Rennard Woodmore, an esteemed alumnus of the Yellow Jackets, presents a magnificent pedigree, having held prominent positions in head coaching capacities across various regions. His pivotal role as a coordinator for teams contending for state championships further enhances his stature in the realm of football leadership. Kyle Gregory, erstwhile adorned in the resplendent gold insignia, though lacking direct head coaching experience, brings to the fore his invaluable insights garnered as a coordinator for esteemed teams, showcasing an acute understanding of the requisites for triumph whilst attired in the esteemed purple and gold regalia. Steven Jackson, whose contributions transcended mere clipboard duties under the tutelage of Kevin Creasy, emerges as an exceptional candidate for Trousdale County. His prior tenure and triumphs as an assistant coach underscore his suitability for the role. The sole drawback lies in his lack of affiliation with Trousdale County as an alumnus. Brandon Eden's extensive tenure within the chronicles of Trousdale County football, spanning a significant portion of its State Championships, coupled with his successful stints as a coordinator across diverse locales, underscores his candidacy despite a dearth of direct head coaching experience at the high school level. Davy Cothron, while beset by a modest playing career, has emerged as a luminary in offensive strategy, drawing parallels to the transformative appointment of Barker in 2015, thereby warranting consideration for his proven acumen in this realm. Joshua Hackett, notwithstanding his non-alumnus status, has left an indelible imprint across Middle Tennessee, distinguished by his adept curation of formidable defensive units as a coordinator at Watertown, albeit without direct head coaching experience. Kevin Creasy, the epitome of coaching prowess, merits an offer irrespective of his current inclinations, his unparalleled capacity to secure victories transcending geographical and institutional bounds, potentially extending to a role as Director of Schools should it align with his aspirations. Conversely, individuals who have not demonstrably earned the mantle of head coaching, enumerated without sequential precedence, encompass: Brad Waggoner David Barker Paul Pitts Jeremy Pruitt Clint Satterfield Robbie Atwood Wesley Satterfield Ben Johnson BJ West Whom do you all deem most fitting to assume the mantle of the next coach, and what rationale informs your choice? Conversely, whom do you perceive as ill-suited for the role, and what underpins your reasoning for their exclusion?
    • He's a Clinton fan.  But I wouldn't admit that either.
    • Their any schedule out their for team camp?
    • This sums it all up to perfection.
