CCS vs Notre Dame

This will be the third time these two teams will face each other this year. The first two games ended with the same 2-0 score with ND winning. The Irish will face a motivated CCS team as this scenario seems to play out each year with these two teams meeting in the regional finals. I'll predict a low scoring hard fought game not unlike the two previous games. Leah Wilson always tough in the goal will ensure a competitive score.

I agree, but I'll stick to my 3-0 prediction that I made last time....

I predict the team that's school is more west than east will win. Go West /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I don't have a clue where you guys are on the map, but going with 2-0. ND will score 3, but 1 will be off sides.

The first goal was scored by Daniele Ciabattone who headed it in on a beautiful corner kick from Darcy Brannen with 8 minutes left in the half. Notre Dame goes in to half leading 1-0. The second starts out well for ther Fighting Irish as Daniele Ciabattone launches a beautiful shot 1 minute into the half from about the 25 that sails over Leah's head to go up 2-0. There is much back and forth with ND controlling most of the pace of play but IMO CCS did a much better job of possesing the ball than they did in the first 2 games. CCS gets on the board at the 10 minute mark after they are awarded a free kick at about the 22 that hits off the cross bar and a CCS player does a nice job of following the shot (I believe a header ) and puts it in the net. Notre Dame scores their final goal at just under 2 minutes on a very nice cross from Kris Cambron to Darcy Brannen who hits a nice ball that deflects off of a CCS defender that finds the back of the net. The final 3-1 and as usual this was a hard fought game from both teams.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
