hootowlhollow
If you score on WV first, the games over. If you let them stay is the game a couple quarters watch out
JD32
So your saying if Powell scores early and gets a good lead, which i think they will, WV tends to give up?
osunut2
Weather looks like it could be a factor. Powell seemed to overcome the awful weather against West 2 weeks ago, so we'll see what happens.

JD32
Whats the weather supposed to be like?
osunut2
Whats the weather supposed to be like? Granted we are still 2 days away, but NOAA is calling for rain likely (after 1pm) on Friday until early Saturday morning. The temps should be fine (mid-upper 50s during the game) and it shouldn't be very windy, but the rain could be a factor.

osunut2
I still don't know how to feel about this game, what with the weather forecast, Walker Valley's emotional win last week, and Powell's 2nd half drubbing of Clinton last week. As long as it isn't raining cats and dogs, I'll be posting live updates from Powell tonight.
JD32
Well as of right now, it was and prolly still is coming down pretty hard. The rain could affect both teams so it should be intersting to see how this one unfolds. Im predicting- Powell-28 Walker Valley

osunut2
The field will be a bit soggy, but it looks like there shouldn't be much more rain tonight.
osunut2
Well, the weather definitely was a factor in this one. Powell really looked good in the first half, taking a 28-7 lead into the half. Walker Valley had a lot of fumbled snaps in the first half, which really slowed the Mustangs down. However, Walker Valley got it together after halftime, and completely shutdown the Panther offense. The Panthers led 28-7 going into the 4th quarter, but the Mustangs cut it to 7 with under 6 minutes to play. Walker Valley got the ball back with just under 3 minutes remaining and drove all the way inside the Panther 35 with a minute to play. Unfortunately, another fumbled snap doomed the Mustangs and Powell ran the clock out. Powell was definitely the better team in the first half, while Walker Valley was clearly the better team in the 2nd half. The Panthers have to be happy with a win, as ugly as it was.
