I think I'm correct - the JCS starting defense allowed two touchdowns to the Milan offense. They also pitched shutouts to Humboldt, Gibson County, and Peabody. When the JCS defense shows up to play, they have the ability to play well. I think the defense that plays the best wins the game.

Quite prophetic, Gocart. The JCS defense put on a show tonight. A week after putting up 63 points on USJ, Huntingdon found the endzone only twice tonight against the Eagles. The first TD, on the opening drive after halftime, was aided by 3 big mental mistakes by JCS (roughing the passer after a 3rd down stop, personal foul face mask a few plays later, then an offside penalty on 4th and 3 that setup a Holder TD on 4th and 1). Huntingdon's RB rushed for nearly 200 yards, but the Eagles D came up big when it counted. Can't wait for next week against Milan. Congrats Eagles!

Wow, what a night and what a game. Our first trip to face the Huntingdon Mustangs in Paul Ward Stadium was everything it was billed to be. The atmosphere was great - you could feel the tradition as the teams warmed up and the game began. The weather, as forecast, was brutal. And the game was all it was hyped to be. Defenses controlled the first half, with only one of the five total touchdowns coming before halftime.

The Mustang offense is scary to watch - they are tight and run with speed and power and precision. Their blocking is awesome. Their defense plays hard on every down. Congratulations to the Huntingdon team and fan base for a great game and a great season.

And HOW ABOUT THEM EAGLES!??? Couldn't move the ball at all until the rain came, then Cody Jones begins connecting on pass after pass. Great play calling and game plan from Coach Stewart and staff. Again the use of several wide receivers by Cody Jones really opened up the field. Once again, Will Johnson was the go-to guy to control the clock on the last drive, and he scored one of the td's.

Looking forward to Milan next week. No disrespect to the bulldogs intended, but should we correct a couple of key mistakes from the first meeting, who knows, we could possibly find ourselves in the game at the end with a chance to win, kinda like Westview did tonight.

I'm lovin high school football. Go Eagles.

Congrats to the Eagles on an exciting win.

Way to go, Huntingdon, on a great season. There weren't many people outside of Mustang Country who gave you much of a chance after starting out 2-5. But win three straight, make the playoffs, and beat fifth-ranked USJ on the road by 25. I know tonight's game didn't turn out the way you wanted, but there's a lot to be proud of this year.

gocart you called the game just as i saw it. your defense was the difference in the game! your linebackers were the difference in tonights game imo.yall held us tight the first half and we had to play from behind the second half.cody jones is an excellent qb and when he ran up the middle it was unexpected.#32 took over in the second half and is a heck of a running back. next weeks game with milan will be the best game in west tenn. good luck to jcs but since bulldogdynasty supported the pigskin pals ,i'm goin' with milan this week.milan by 2 touches!

Huntington certainly had an impressive game last week, but you will be playing a very different team Friday. I greatly respect both teams, but will be pulling for Huntington. I have my doubts though. I don't expect Holder to run for 500 yards again. JCS will be focusing on him, so Huntington may have to find a different way to score. A word to JCS though, Paul Ward is haunted.

Who ya going call? Ghost Busters!

GO EAGLES!!!!!

This is a crazy question, but- is there any type of penaly against a defensive lineman actually tackling the offensive lineman. I mean actually bringing the offensive lineman to the ground. I'm not talking about receivers or running backs so not defensive holding penalties. I ask this to try and minimize the double wing's "wedge effect" shielding the running back from would be tacklers.

We also run the dw (LCA) and it's illegal for defensive linemen to tackle or pull down offensive linemen. It is def holding, but it's rarely called because we see it all the time. They dive through and grab the ankles of the pullers. God bless

This was disappointing. I thought that Huntingdon was gonna win for sure, looks like I was wrong. USJ beat JCS and Huntingdon dominated USJ so I thought Huntingdon had this one for sure. This just proves that anything can happen on the footbal field.
