I hope Alcoa gets drilled in the Championship, it would be nice to pop that little bubble they live in.

Maybe it is just ignorance on their part, but people hate and disrespect things they are jealous of.......

So why are people from Alcoa posting on our threads....don't they have bigger fish to fry?

Maybe they are just being CoachT Avengers and downing the fool who thinks they are equal to or better than their school.

Also, I am sure that each and every player for Alcoa has a great attitude and much dicipline......I believe we are equal to them in that category.

Get a Life OWCOA, you guys are having a great couple of years.... but everyone in the state smiles on the fact that you cannot beat Maryville and will be pulling against you in every ball game. One day you will be defeated by a lesser team, and I hope scheduling is not your excuse.

Wow, Maryville is ranked 6th in the Nation (just in case you didn't know). We lost to them by 7 points. No other school 2A-5A came that close. Most people I talk to say "I don't see how a 2A team can even compete with them." But everyone in the state smiles on the fact that Lewis Co. cannot get past the 2nd round!

Maybe one year you guys will make it past 2nd round playoffs. Goodpasture is having a rebuilding year this year and is starting a 14 year old quarterback, and your 11-0 team still could not beat them. Lewis Co. plays a weak schedule, that is why everyone outside of Lewis Co. knew that Goodpasture would end up winning, despite that LC was 11-0.

I guess LC will have to wait till next year to prove to everyone how good they are. That is if they make playoffs.

I can see it doesn't make a differance with you giving you facts......just to say it again.

You made you comment about "our" weak 2A schedule......Compare..Aloca (2A) schedule..28-48 LCHS (2A) schedule 31-53

Aloca.."Open Zone" LCHS "CLosed zone"

You played Maryville....and LOST. With that logic..LCHS should play maybe David Lipscomb and lose and that would take care of that......OMG, but can you imagine if LCHS did that and lost in the 2nd round....."THEN WHAT".

You have a very talent loaded team , much more than Lewis...that is a fact. Goodpasture may be rebuilding, but they have depth over LCHS which is a fact. Not going to get into the Private vs. Public...or Open Zone vs. Closed Zone...I believe it would be something you would ignore anyway, you seem to have a lot of opinion and don't chose to face the facts of the differance of the school and statis. LCHS is a very rich program, of course they don't have the Championship trophy, but I would like to point out ........there is a lot of schools all over Tennessee that doesn't either, which doesn't make there players any less than yours. A lot of young men enjoy playing the game.....PERIOD.

Someone like you.......it wouldn't matter if LCHS lost in the 3rd round.......your bitterness and "greater than thou" attitude wouldn't change, you would have your little pity remarks regardless. The community of Lewis county is very proud of the accomplishments of their young men, year in and year out. BTW your little comment about South Pitt......I see you didn't play them.

You know one thing.......you can't win an arguement with someones opinion, only with facts......which you chose to ignore the differances. Move on and solve the problems for all teams in Tennessee.....not just LCHS. So far the only thing you have come up with is "Schedule"......its been explained and covered for you......"over and over"...and like the old saying about opinions......"you have proved that one......which is a fact"

Now just go on to other board and spread the wisdom, maybe someone else will listen, cause on this one .....everyone has tired of your rants. I sure hope all the people that support Alcoa don't have your insight to problems facing other teams!

Now just move on and let us discuss the original topic here. You can keep your opinions...remember everyone has one......you just chose to prove the old saying!

Well, since they are 6Th in the nation, where does that put you?..................Oh yea, behind them, does that make you angry? Did I ruffle your feathers? Maybe the fact that you are not considered the "Best" makes you restless at night. It certainly made you bitter during your post. We'll be just fine, we will take the same good ole boys we keep on getting and still be considered one of the best in the state. I hope you guys choke in the playoffs.........it would make everyone's year. LOL

We are the "Best" in 2A, last time I checked.

Good luck next year!

and second best in your own county, last time I checked.

So I guess if you guys want to compare us to a top 10 nationally ranked 4A team, then that would make us #2 in the state of TN. Not that bad for a little 2A school. I'll take that any day over a "can never make it to the 3rd week in Nov. team"

Good luck next year, If Lewis Co. players want to play football in Dec, I guess their parents should buy them a Play Station!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
