I've heard of the single wing because UT was running it when my granddaddy went to school there, but the lonesome polecat...you got me on that one. 92dragon, I dont know why you are breathing fire, we always kicked your but until this year.

 

Sneakypete I do remember when Halls played MBA and we dang near beat them one year. I think we beat Brentwood both years we played them, 2000, 2001 I believe.

 

I just don't think we have anything to gain by playing Webb. If we win we are supposed to cause we are a bigger 5a team and if we dont then we stink like Powell did when Webb beat them ever year. Hay, lets just beat them then we can talk about what a smart move it was.

 

Well, you didnt kick my butt. We beat you guys 26-0 my senior year. I see what you mean now by saying you dont have anything to win by playing Webb. At first, it just sounded like you didnt want to play them cause you were affraid you were going to lose to them or something. Good luck to you guys next season, hopefully you guys can turn things around and make our district even more difficult than it is already going to be. I can't wait to see you play Oak Ridge and Anderson Co. again........those should be some good games!

You didn't beat Brentwood in 2000, you didn't play them in 2001.

Turn what around? clinton has only beaten Halls once in the last eight or nine years. I'd say the Devils will make the new district as competitive as anyone else.

When i say "turn things around", If you ask any Halls fan i would think that most of them were not happy with the way the season turned out. Maybe you can turn things around and have a better season next year. Im not on here bragging about Clinton beating Halls. Im not going to get on here and bad mouth a program because they have a down year or two.

Redbyrd84, I was talking about Halls playing Brentwood. I know we played them but I might be wrong about the years. I looked the other day to see where we ranked in offence and defence in '08 compare with other schools. We had NOBODY listed in the top 50 in passes or catches. 2 rushers in the top 50, our kicker in the top 5, now thats great for kicking. We had nobody listed in the top 100 in tackling. Now that I cant believe.

 

I just hope we can get better during the winter so we will have some represented next year this time. An I still say we need to do something else on offence.

hello red devil fans

 

first time poster.

 

i have heard rumors that we are losing more players to other schools. has anyone else heard this? are coaches from other schools aloud to contact players from halls and invite them to play somewhere else? i don't know the rules.

 

 

It is a direct violation of TSSAA rules for a coach from one school to contact a student or parent/guardian at another school about playing somewhere else.

I aint heard bout any players leaving to go to other schools. I think somebody is pulling your string on that one.

 

we lost #5 half way through last year to AC, and from the rumors I heard in the hallway#6 won't be back for next semester (he will be a panther), and #3 has been considering private school. that is just the credible rumors. i have heard others.

 

i hope they all stay, but i know we can not afford to lose any. i dont play football but i am a fan.

      And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…

      Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.

      Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
