I'm always interested in different traditions of teams before games at different schools. Who has the best? Besides winning.

Jo Byrns High School, who is playing for the 1A State Championship this year. Before every game, right before they run out onto the field, and after they win they rev up hundreds of trucks. have you ever heard one of those trucks that are so loud that it almost bursts your ear drums. now imagine about 100 of them going at the same time. the stands rattle and you can't even hear yourself think. i had coffee beside me and it was vibrating so bad that it was spilling. i've never seen that anywhere else. it is very original.

Did you hear about Marcus John HS? They take pigs and let them out on the field when the team wins. Then the kids in the bleachers take paint cans and fling paint on the pigs. Whoever has the most paint on the pig they win.

dyersburg high also has great traditions before every game they do the trojan walk and walk behind two boss hoss motor cycles to the feild all of the little trojans form a line for them to run out to and as soon as they run through the sign gold fireworks go off in the background.
