Hounddog, im not putting down Keenwood, im just wondering who they have returning other than baker and Lyle...because they lost acouple studs..like Peeler and Hall..and even there good supporting cast with Hines,Phinnessee, Settlemoir, Bryant,..that is 6 state qualifier's they are losing...

The team that i think is going to be good, but no one is looking at is Mt. Juliet...They only lost 1 wrestler from their entire team, and they have Seaman..enough said..look for them to suprise some people this year

Jeff Jordan has been in my room for weigh ins a few times back when he coached at Clarksville. Other than that he has never been there, much less to coach Kenwood Wrestlers. Why would he retire from Clarksville and then 2 years later come over here and help us? Doesn't make much sense does it? I have been told that the current Clarksville coach started this rumor. Why? I do not know.

Hey KKW - the message was meant to wish you well, not to pass on what you consider to be a rumor started by anyone. I would think the CHS coach has no reason to do anything like that and really think someone should not be accused unfairly. So what if Jordan did come to your school? What's wrong with competition? The whole intent of the post was to wish you well, not to start something.

I have spoken with Coach Cobb and we have figured out how the rumor of Jordan becoming a Knight came about. I asked JJ if he would come over a couple of days in November to show us his crossface series for a small fee. He agreed. Then, talking to Cobb, he(Jordan) mentioned it. From there Cobb told a couple of other coaches who got all the facts mixed up and now Jordan is a full fledged coach at Kenwood. Cobb and I both believe that someone likes to stir the pot, if you know what I mean.

I just try to use every possible resource when training my kids for February. If one of thos resources just happens to be a former Clarksville High coach and a 2 time State Championship coach, then so be it. I hope that this has cleared things up.

I know Kenwood lost some good wrestlers, and honestly, I do not know who or what they have back, but I am sure Masters will put together a worthy team. I believe that they have lost studs in the past and still remained competitive with some tough teams. However, I am agreeing with you on the fact that they did lose a lot. I also know that Clarksville did not lose much at all. They should be primed to fight it out for the top spot at state. Being from the Clarksville area, I also believe that Northwest will be much improved this year and will not be a team that will get pushed around. They may even upset Kenwood this year. That statement does not degrade Kenwood, but attests to the strength of a determined NW coaching staff. I cannot wait to see some of these matches.

Region 7 will be another dog fight again this year. Only the tables are turned. Last year Clarksville had a young unknown team, where Kenwood had all the studs. Kenwood should have won the region last year. Why they did not I don't know they started wrestling to early and burned themselves out that will happen if you start full practices in August or July. This year Clarksville has all the guys and Kenwood has to reload. Will CHS get big headed and overlook Kenwood? Now that the roles are switched you can count on one thing Msters will be whipping his team down the strech, and Cobb will be looking over his shoulder. Who will finish first? One thing is for sure both of these programs deserve to be in the State Duals. As for North West they are talking big for now, but they are planning on cutting alot of weight. They might be tough in the begining but as the seaon draws to an end they will run out of gas. EVryone is glad to hear that Clarksville Acd. Is starting their program back up. If they will concentrate on individuals at first and not about numbers. They will have success that will trickle dowm to the middle schools where they can then build on numbers.

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
