Matt Scott wasn't a GOD but you sign D-1, win 14 or 15 of your team's games, have the strikeouts to walk ratio, know that you will always face the other teams #1 or #2, and pitch on the lack of rest that he did and you may be lucking enough to make people think that you are that good. There is no doubt that Lavergne will be good but I think you forget that they were not good until Matt was a sophomore. Did you get a hit to hard in Football?

no i didn't. i just think that everyone thought we only had matt to throw. we had five other juniors that could pitch (not as fast but just as efficient). i don't think anyone saw that in us.

i have to agree with bigsey, i think if anything it made ljack i bigger sissy by not hitting anyone in football, anyone can snap it takes a real player to hit someone.

tullahoma is going to be one of the better teams, they got a great chance to make it to state and even win it. but they have a sophomore starting at shortstop replacing the senior matt carter. if he has a good year they will go far.

I agree with 2obigbm if soph. Morris son of Motlow St. hitting coach Ricky Morris can get the job done at ss they could be a contender in 8aaa. He will probably pitch some also. Sr. Matt Gray can also play ss and could be the inf. utility player as he has played 3rd & 2nd before plays all 3 decent. Tullahoma is loaded with seniors 1b Mark Chaney has hit over .300 2 yrs in a row. Of is solid with Sr.s Rogers, Furhman they are not great defensely but get the job done and can hit for power.Tullahoma has 2 solid cathers with sr. Jeff Blackman leading the way. Jr. Joe Spence with Blackman cathing will probably play in the If is a solid stick with power.Jr. OF Tripp Hess the best in the OF hit over .300 last year.Sr.s OF Scoggins & Thoma, IF Smith brothers may also have a chance to contribute. Last year Tullahoma won games off pitching.Sr. WK signee Kenny Griffin will lead this years staff. The pitching will be solid again. The SS position and getting solid hitting will be the key to Tullahoma come playoff time.
