Can anyone on here tell me how longtime Metro Coach, MTSU Hall of Famer, Gerald Johnson is doing? The last I heard was that he had Alzheimers and was not doing very well. Any updates on this would be fantastic!

Can anyone on here tell me how longtime Metro Coach, MTSU Hall of Famer, Gerald Johnson is doing? The last I heard was that he had Alzheimers and was not doing very well. Any updates on this would be fantastic!

 

I visited Coach Johnson and his wife Eloise this last Saturday..........he is doing well as can be expected and will still tell one or two of his corny jokes. I was worried this summer that he was getting a little too skinny, but that is not a problem now...........he is back up in weight. He is a great coach and an even better person..............I do miss be able to meet for lunch with him and the crew from Maplewood.

I used to love to watch his Maplewood basketball teams play. Glad to hear he is doing better.
