How did Baylor lose to Tully and finish 4th?

I should also note that the moms of the ex-SSS (the ones who thought there would be some tough practices next week) talked about how well mannered and disciplined Coach Kennedy's wrestlers are, and that he makes them bring their report cards to practice to make sure they are good students. So it is a lot more than winning matches with the Sharpshooter program.

How can the Purple Wave come in second at a very tough tournament and the middle schools in Memphis don't even have wrestling programs?

Again, very little know about the Memphis wrestling programs. Wave Wrestling has been around for several years, and is getting stronger and stronger each year. The coaching staff is top notch, and this years 8th grade class is the best they have run through there.

FROM WHAT I REMEMBER.... BAYLOR, TULLY, AND HENDERSONVILLE ALL BEAT EACH OTHER AND ALL LOST TO THE SHARPSHOOTERS, CREATING A THREE WAY TIE. BY ADDING TOTAL MATCH WIN POINTS BAYLOR BEAT OUT TULLY BY EITHER FOUR OR SIX POINTS TO ADVANCE TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP POOL WITH BLACKMAN, WAVE, AND CLEVELAND. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION... IT WAS BY CRITERIA EXPLAINED IN THE COACHES MEETING BEFORE WRESTLING STARTED. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

They are a club team.. ie Memphis' best wrestlers coming together to form 1 team and their coaches informed me that they travel alot competing out of state mostly in tournaments and that this was their first dual match tournament. Great team with great coaches

This is pretty close. We are indeed a club team but that is primarily because there is no direct middle school feeders for most of the private schools. We do not go out and seek the best wrestlers, virtually every kid on our team yesterday came out of our program from the time they started (I can think of one that didn't and he has been with us 3 years now I think, so we can claim his development). We actually often turn away wrestlers from other programs that express interest in coming over to work with us (creates too many problems).

It was a great event and we enjoyed the chance to get out and compete as a team in dual meets for once. Cleveland is tough as always and we enjoyed the competition from all the teams.

Coach Kennedy should applaud his team, they wrestled well and lost a fantastic, close dual meet.

You clearly pay no attention to what occurs in Memphis.
