Westview @ Haywood County

I saw Haywood play McNairy at the jamboree. They had a lot of difficulty running the ball, but had some success putting it in the air. They took it downfield 70 yards in about 1:30 at the end of the game. They looked alright... hard to tell in a jamboree of course, but I like Westview to win this one. Let's say 38-13.

... while I don't dispute the fact that Haywood will be favored and should win, your score predicts that Westview will miss a couple of extra points... in the 3 or 4 games I saw last year, their kicker was fairly impressive and should return as I believe he was a sophomore... do you know something I don't?...

Westview will win! they may have lost a lot of players last year but there is still alot of good players there theyv'e got speed With Raphael Hill (Mr. Football Finalist) They've got passing and recieving you'll see a whole new QB with Laney He can throw and is very quick on his feet.ANd Recieving Expect Big THings from Jake Hicks and Alex Brown.Westview wins this game.Period!!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
