I agree with king... anytime you come out of there with a win it's been a good game. Didn't get to see it , but an 11 pt win sounds like a great game!!! We've got an off night friday so i think I'll make the trip to watch em play SC

See you there. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Seniors really stepped up against Smith Co. Everyone worked hard on both ends of the court. The type of emotion seen tonight will make LA a very hard team to beat. A very enjoyable game to watch. Agreed! This may be the spark this team has needed to finish the season strong! I thought both teams played great. If LA is coming out of their shell Upperman better watch out! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The LA kids played hard.

They need to nip, ten point plus runs by their oppents, in the bud.

If they continue to play with the emotion they showed against Smith Co., that problem can get quickly fixed. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Good win for Livingston, play like that can get you almost anywhere. Really did a great job on KF.

While I am excited to see our girls get a big win over a pretty good Smith County team, I don't think I would say that if we play like that, that we can almost go anywhere. And I don't really know how you could say that we did a good job on Farris. What did she have 30 points? I am just guessing. I would imagine mid 20's anyway. And we didn't foul her out. She had 4 fouls halfway through the 3rd quarter and we never took the ball to her and made her foul. If she leaves the game, the game is over, period. Why was we not smart enough to do exactly that? The fact of the matter is, I was very surprised to see Smith County press us. I figured they would want it to be a half court game. I would. Thankfully our first 9 points by A. Sells were easy looks at 3's because Smith County didn't do too well on the press. Not only that, if Smith County would have beaten our press, they would have won the game. I would be afraid to guess how many turnovers they had off of our press. There for a long time, I didn't know if they would get the ball past the mid stripe. Our press looked good. That won us the game in my opinion.

Smith CO. ---- Ferris=24pts----Carr=16pts---Owens=10pts LA----A. Sells=27pts---Kilgore=15pts---West=11pts---Taylor=8pts---Mahaney=3pts-------This is the kind of scoring that A. Sells is capable of any time she hits the court! The hard work and emotion that all the LA girls showed, in this game, IMO means more than any individual points scored. This is the type of play that makes good things happen. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
