I'm sorry you really believe that jibberish that East Tennessee baseball revolves around the Farragut and Bearden programs. It just doesn't.

Ya can you believe the nerve of that guy? It doesn't just revolve around Farragut and bearden at all. If anythiing, it just revolves around Farragut, because they are the only one of the two who have ever done anything. Unless you count beating myself, rob catapano, 4 times in one season. haha

Oh so nieve..it does revolve around Bearden and Farrgut. Everyother team is playing for 3rd simple as that. The only people that would disagree are parents of players from other schools or over confident players from other schools. Just count the fans (if any) at any other baseball game and go to a BHS or FHS game. enough said.

Fortunately enough, I have been to both Farragut and Bearden baseball games in the past couple of years. Crowds come and go depending upon whom you play and the weather. You would be suprised how big crowds can be at other venues in the Knoxville area.

I'm not here to bash any players or teams but I hold not one to a higher standard than another. It's called respect. Each day you put your uniform like anyone else and play the game to the best of your ability. Anyone can beat anybody anytime and right now, everybody's record is 0-0.

Before everybody screams at the previous post, would you like to rephrase that? There are many quality players and programs around the East Tennessee area.

It is obvious that Farragut has a good program, but Science Hill should be pretty good this year. They went to state last year and only lost 3 players from last year's team. Two of those three weren't integral to the team. They are returning three solid pitchers, McKinney, Norris, and Sharp. They are defensively strong. The question mark is their hitting. Fortunately, their pitching and defense should somewhat relieve weaknesses in hitting.

Most of all, I am ready for baseball to start so that we can see how good these teams really are. Right now, everyone is good.

I saw you guys play at UT last year and was impressed with the talent level.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
